A Prayer for my Cat ###

Please pray for my beloved cat ###.
### is a young cat who has recently become very ill. He has been diagnosed with FeLV and has a mass and fluid in his abdomen, and lymphoma is strongly suspected. He is also anaemic.

Please join me in praying to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Great Physician, for complete and miraculous healing for ###.

Please pray that the mass disappears, the abdominal fluid clears, the inflammation and disease leave his body, his blood returns to normal and every organ is restored to health.

Please pray that ###'s appetite, strength and energy return and that he can once again live his happy, healthy life.

We are waiting for his next ultrasound, and I am praying that the vets will be astonished to find that the disease has disappeared.

Please pray boldly for a miracle for ###.

We join you in praying to Jesus Christ our Lord and Great Physician for your beloved cat in this very difficult time, and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are heard and saved as Acts 4:12 reminds us.

Our hearts are moved by your love and tender care for this young cat, and we know the Lord sees that love. Scripture shows us how much God cares for His creation. Proverbs 12:10 tells us a righteous man respects the life of his animal, and Psalm 36:6 declares that you preserve man and animal, Yahweh. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 10:29 that not one sparrow will fall on the ground without your Father, and in Luke 12:6 we are reminded that not one sparrow is forgotten by God, how much more does He see your beloved companion and your tears over him.

We lift your precious cat before the throne of grace together and we pray boldly for a miracle, knowing that nothing is too hard for the Lord.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved cat to You. You formed all living things and You know every detail of his body. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon him. We pray that the mass in his abdomen would disappear, that the fluid would be dried up and cleared, that the inflammation and disease of FeLV and suspected lymphoma would leave his body completely. Lord, we pray You would restore his blood and heal his anemia, that his red cells would return to normal and every organ would be restored to perfect health and function. We pray You would return his appetite, his strength and his energy, that he would eat well, play and live the happy healthy life You created him to enjoy. We pray for the next ultrasound, that the veterinarians would be astonished to find no trace of disease, and that they would have wisdom and compassion as they care for him. We also pray for comfort and peace for his owner who loves him so dearly, that You would guard their heart with Your peace that passes all understanding. We ask this according to Your perfect will and mercy, in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We encourage you to continue to be a faithful steward of the life God has entrusted to you, to follow the wise counsel of the veterinarians while trusting ultimately in the Lord who is our healer. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and Psalm 147:9 tells us He provides food for the livestock. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all we ask. Even as we pray for complete healing, we trust in His goodness and sovereignty, knowing He hears every prayer offered in Jesus name and He cares deeply for both you and your beloved cat. We are standing with you in faith for that astonishing report and for restored health and joy.

We have been thinking of you and ### since reading your request. The love you have for him comes through so clearly, and we can imagine how hard it is to see such a young cat so ill and to wait for that next ultrasound with so much uncertainty.

We are joining you in bold prayer to Jesus for ###. We love that you called Him the Great Physician. He sees every detail you mentioned, the mass, the fluid, the anemia, and He sees your care for this little life He created. Bringing our pets to Him is never small to Him.

While you wait, it may help to stay closely connected to your veterinary team. Jotting down any changes in appetite or energy and your questions about the ultrasound can make those appointments a little less overwhelming, and keeping ### comfortable and close is itself a gentle way to love him right now. Please also be kind to your own heart in this waiting, it is exhausting to love deeply through illness.

Father, we bring ### before You in Jesus name. We ask for Your mercy on his body, that You would touch the mass and fluid, restore his blood and organs, and return his appetite and strength if it is Your will. Give wisdom to the vets and peace to his owner as they wait. We trust him into Your caring hands. Amen.

Your burden for your beloved cat has been heard, and we join you in bringing this little creature before the throne of grace, pleading in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Great Physician.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, and the Lord who made all creatures and who notes even the sparrow in its fall is not unmindful of the work of His hands. While our chief hope and healing must ever be the healing of the sin sick soul by the blood of Christ, who suffered the penalty of our sins and endured the wrath of God on our behalf, yet we may boldly bring every care to Him, for He careth for us, and our expectation is from Him alone.

Therefore we pray with you, and we will continue to wait upon God with you:

O Lord God, Father, Son and Holy Ghost, the God of peace and of all mercy, Thou art the Creator and Preserver of all life. We come through the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ Thy Son, our only Ambassador and Intercessor at Thy right hand, and we lay this afflicted cat before Thee. Thou knowest his frame, his sickness, the mass and the fluid in his abdomen, the suspected lymphoma, the anaemia and weakness. Lord, if it be Thy will, speak the word and heal him. We pray that Thou wouldst cause the mass to disappear, the fluid to clear, inflammation and disease to leave his body, his blood to be restored to its proper health, and every organ to be made whole. Restore we beseech Thee his appetite, his strength and his energy, that he may again live with comfort and joy as Thou hast made him to live.

We pray for the veterinarians who have care of him, that Thou wouldst give them wisdom and skill, and we pray for the coming ultrasound, that if it so pleases Thy sovereign goodness, those who examine him may be astonished to find the disease no more, to Thy glory alone. Yet we wait only upon God, and we trust Thy wise and loving will, whether Thou grantest the petition at once or reservest it for a further trial of our faith, knowing that blessed are all they that wait for Him.

May the Lord grant you peace in waiting, and may He keep your heart resting in Christ, who is our peace and who has made peace by the blood of the everlasting covenant. We commend you and your beloved cat into His tender hands.

We join you in bringing your beloved cat before the Lord with compassion and prayer, and we thank you for asking us to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, our Great Physician.

God made all creatures and cares for them, and He hears the prayers of those who love what He has made. We understand how deep your love is for this young cat, and how painful it is to see him so ill with this mass, the fluid in his abdomen, the suspected lymphoma and the anemia, and to wait for the next ultrasound with such hope and anxiety.

We will pray boldly as you have asked, that the Lord in His mercy would touch your cat, that the mass would disappear, the fluid would clear, the inflammation and disease would leave, his blood would be restored and his organs made healthy, and that his appetite, strength and energy would return. We also pray for wisdom and skill for the veterinarians who are caring for him, that they would have clear eyes and steady hands.

At the same time we come with trust in the wisdom of God who is the true Physician. Scripture shows us that even the apostles, who were given great gifts of healing, did not see every sickness healed at once, for Paul writes that he left Trophimus sick at Miletus. This reminds us that healing rests in God's sovereign will and not only in our asking, and that His love does not fail when the answer is not what we hope. He heals according to His perfect knowledge and goodness, sometimes by a sudden miracle, sometimes through the ordinary means of care and medicine, and always with a purpose shaped by love.

So we encourage you to continue to give your cat good and faithful care through the veterinarians, using the remedies God has provided, while keeping your heart anchored in Christ. Do not turn to charms or superstitions for help, but to the simple and sure help of prayer and the sign of our trust in the cross of Christ, bringing every need to the Father through Jesus alone.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, our only Savior and our Great Physician. You know this little cat whom You created, and You see his suffering and the sorrow of the one who loves him. We ask in the name of Jesus that You would have mercy and, if it is Your will, grant complete healing. Touch his body, remove the mass and the fluid, cleanse the disease, restore his blood and strengthen every organ. Return his appetite and energy and let him live again in health and comfort. Guide the veterinarians with wisdom for the next ultrasound and for all treatment, and let them be helped to do what is best for him. Above all, give peace and trust to his owner, to rest in Your goodness and to know that You do all things well, whether You answer with a miracle now or sustain through ongoing care. We ask this with submission to Your perfect will, trusting Your love that never fails. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we pray, Amen.
