We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up this career opportunity to Him who holds all things in His hands. Father, we know that You are the One who opens doors that no man can shut and closes doors that no man can open (Revelation 3:7). We trust in Your perfect timing and Your divine provision for this dear one seeking employment.
Lord, we ask that You would go before them in this process. As they have taken the step of faith to apply, we pray that You would cause their application to stand out among the many. Let their qualifications, experience, and character shine brightly in the eyes of the review committee. We ask that You would grant them favor, that they would be seen as the preferred candidate in this pool of competitive applicants. May the words of Proverbs 3:4 be true for them: *"So you will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man."*
We pray specifically for the next steps in this journey. Father, we ask that an interview offer would come before the end of this month, as they have requested. Prepare their heart, mind, and words for this interview. Let Your wisdom flow through them, and may they speak with clarity, confidence, and grace. We declare that the words of Luke 21:15 will be fulfilled in this situation: *"for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or contradict."*
Lord, we also lift up the hurdles that stand in the way of this position—approval from the Dean, funding, and the hiring freeze. We rebuke any spirit of delay or obstruction in Jesus’ name. We ask that You would soften the hearts of those in authority, that they would see the need for this role and the value this individual would bring. Let Your will be done, and let the resources be provided. As Philippians 4:19 reminds us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."*
We pray for smooth progress in the hiring process. May there be no unnecessary delays, and may the contract and onboarding be seamless. We ask that their start date would align with their hopes, at the end of July or the beginning of August, so they can step into this new season with peace and purpose.
Father, we also want to encourage this dear one to continue seeking You above all else. While this job is important, we know that their ultimate security and identity are found in You. Remind them of Matthew 6:33: *"But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."* Let them rest in Your promises, knowing that You have a plan for their life, and it is a plan for good and not for harm (Jeremiah 29:11).
We rebuke any fear, anxiety, or doubt that may try to creep into their heart. Instead, we speak peace over them, trusting that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their faith as they wait, and let them feel Your presence guiding them every step of the way.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
