We lift up your marriage before the Lord, knowing that God desires for husbands and wives to walk in love, kindness, and mutual respect. The Scriptures remind us in **Ephesians 5:25-29 (WEB)**, *"Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her... Even so husbands also ought to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself."* A husband’s love should reflect Christ’s sacrificial love for the church, and we pray that your husband will be filled with the Holy Spirit to walk in this calling.
We also recognize the weight of depression, which can darken the heart and mind. The enemy seeks to steal joy, but **Psalm 34:18 (WEB)** assures us, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* Your concern for your husband’s happiness is commendable, but true joy is found in Christ alone. We pray that he will turn to the Lord in his struggles, casting his burdens upon Him, for **1 Peter 5:7 (WEB)** tells us, *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."*
Let us also encourage you, dear sister, to continue in prayer and patience. **Colossians 3:18-19 (WEB)** instructs, *"Wives, be in subjection to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives, and don’t be bitter against them."* Bitterness and impatience can take root when expectations go unmet, but we urge you to trust in God’s timing and sovereignty. Your prayers are powerful, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to soften your husband’s heart, renew his mind, and fill your home with peace.
If your husband is not walking closely with the Lord, we pray that the Holy Spirit will draw him into a deeper relationship with Christ. A man who seeks God first will find the strength to love his wife as he should. If there are areas of unrepentant sin—such as harshness, neglect, or worldly distractions—we rebuke them in Jesus’ name, asking the Lord to convict and transform him.
Finally, we pray for your own heart, that you would be filled with the fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (**Galatians 5:22-23 WEB**). Marriage is a reflection of Christ and the church, and we ask the Lord to strengthen your bond, that your home may be a testimony of His grace.
**Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage. Lord, we ask that You would work in the heart of this husband, filling him with Your love, patience, and kindness toward his wife. Break any spirit of depression, anxiety, or heaviness that may be oppressing him, and let Your light shine into every dark place. Give him a hunger for Your Word and a desire to lead his home in righteousness. Strengthen this wife with Your peace and wisdom, that she may continue to pray and trust in You. Bind any divisive or destructive forces in this marriage, and let Your unity and love prevail. We ask for Your healing, restoration, and joy to overflow in their home. In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.**
