Disciple of Prayer
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I kindly ask for your prayers in a matter that has left me deeply hurt and burdened. Last year, my laptop, a vital tool for my university studies, was stolen. By God’s grace and persistent prayer, I was able to trace the individual responsible, and a restitution agreement was made with the family involved. However, in an effort to help a fellow brother who was in need of school tuition, I chose to use the restitution funds to assist him, believing it was the right and godly thing to do. Sadly, that act of kindness was taken advantage of. He went behind my back to collect my restitution directly from the family without informing me or honoring our agreements. I overlooked this at the time, just grateful that I could help him. But now I find myself in a worse situation than before. There were no contracts signed to protect me. I’ve received no restitution payments for months. And most devastating of all, I recently discovered that the brother I helped never even registered for the semester. After confronting him and reporting the situation to school authorities, he blocked me and refused any communication or accountability. I am devastated, heartbroken not just by the financial loss, but by the betrayal of someone I helped in good faith. My finals are near, and I still don’t have a laptop, which is essential for my program. I’m asking for your prayers...that God would restore what I have lost, that justice would prevail in His perfect way and timing, and that He would soften the hearts of those who wronged me and bring them to repentance. I ask for strength in spirit and healing in my heart, so that this experience does not leave me bitter or hesitant to help others in the future. I also ask that God makes a way for me to obtain the resources I need for school, especially a laptop replacement, before my exams, and to use this painful situation to draw me closer to Him. I believe that God will turn this pain into purpose, and I trust that He sees all, knows all, and will work this out for my good. Thank you so much for standing with me in prayer.
