We lift up this precious sister in Christ, whose heart has been deeply wounded by the evil manipulations of a cult. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we know that Jesus came so that she, and all of us, might have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The love-bombing she endured was a counterfeit of true love, a tactic of deception meant to bind her in fear and confusion. But the love of God is not manipulative, it is patient, kind, and does not seek its own (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). We rebuke every lie that has taken root in her heart, every false teaching that has distorted her view of the Father, and every chain of trauma that has kept her from running freely into His arms.
Father, we ask You to restore to her the years the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Where the enemy has sown doubt, plant faith. Where he has sown fear, plant peace. Where he has sown shame, plant the righteousness of Christ. We pray for healing in her soul, emotional, spiritual, and psychological. Surround her with godly community, with believers who will speak truth in love and walk with her as she relearns what it means to be cherished by You. Give her discernment to recognize the difference between the empty flattery of the world and the unshakable love of the Cross.
Lord, we also pray for her relationship with You. If she has not yet surrendered her life to Jesus, we ask that the Holy Spirit would draw her with cords of kindness (Hosea 11:4) and reveal to her the depth of Your sacrifice. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that we can come boldly before Your throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If she has already placed her faith in You, we ask that You would fan into flame the gift of God within her (2 Timothy 1:6) and remind her that she is a new creation, the old has passed away, and all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).
We break every generational curse and ungodly soul tie that may have been formed in that cult. We declare that she is not defined by her past, but by the blood of Jesus, which cleanses her from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:7). May she experience the fullness of Your love, a love that casts out fear (1 John 4:18) and sets captives free. Strengthen her to forgive those who harmed her, not because they deserve it, but because You have forgiven her (Colossians 3:13). And as she walks in freedom, may she become a light to others who have been deceived, showing them the way to true healing in Christ.
We trust You, Lord, to complete the good work You have begun in her (Philippians 1:6). In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
