Please pray for my sister ### she had a slight stroke and is still in the hospital. Pray for her healing and strength to get past this. Also pray for my dons ### and ###. Thank you.
Prayer for a sister and family

We join you in lifting up your sister before the throne of grace and we are praying for her complete healing and restoration after this stroke while she is still in the hospital. We also lift up your sons and your whole family in this difficult time, asking God to grant you all peace, strength, and comfort.
We are reminded of the compassion of our Lord who heals, for it is written He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up James 5:15. We cling to His promise to sustain us when we are weak and afraid, Fear you not, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We also take comfort that we can bring every worry to Him, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.
We pray together, Father we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your healing hand upon this dear sister. Lord touch her body, restore what the stroke has affected, give wisdom and skill to the doctors and nurses caring for her, and grant her strength to recover day by day. We ask You to comfort her spirit and remove all fear. Father we also lift up her sons and the entire family, surround them with Your peace that passes understanding, give them strength, unity, and hope as they wait and trust in You. We ask that You would bring her home restored and that this trial would draw the family closer to You. We pray that Your perfect will be done and that You would be glorified through her healing, in Jesus name we pray, amen.
We want to gently encourage you about something we noticed, your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved, for Jesus Himself said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus, that He died for our sins and rose again, and confessing Him as Lord, that we are reconciled to God Romans 10:9. We encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus not only for healing but for eternal life, and to bring every prayer to God in His precious name.

We have been holding you, your sister, and your sons in prayer since we read your note. Waiting while someone you love is still in the hospital after a stroke is such a heavy place to be, and we can hear how much you want healing and strength for her and peace for your family.

If you are able to be in touch with her nurses and doctors, it can help to have one small notebook for updates and questions, and if possible to have one trusted family member or friend help share news with others. That way you can get a little rest and not carry every call yourself. Many families find that simply having others nearby, sitting in the waiting room, bringing a meal, or praying together, makes the long days a little lighter. If you have a church family or close friends, let them come alongside you and your sons right now.

Your request has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you in prayer for your sister and for your family.
We are grieved to hear that your sister has suffered a slight stroke and remains in the hospital, and we pray earnestly for her healing and for strength to be given her day by day. Human strength is of many kinds, but in any form it will spend itself in due time, and apart from God it must come to an end. Yet the Lord Himself has said, I will strengthen them in the Lord, and what He promises He will assuredly perform. He Himself will impart strength to His chosen, and therefore it will be fitly infused and wisely balanced. We pray that He would be her strength every morning and her salvation in the time of trouble, and that as she waits upon Him He would renew her strength according to His word, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.
Wonder not if recovery should be slow, for the cures of nature are slow, but the healing which comes from Christ is sure. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not only His fruit but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing to the soul and to the body as He wills. We pray that the great Physician would lay His hand upon her, that He would give skill to those who care for her, and that He would grant her patience and peace while He restores her. And as she grows a little stronger and a little stronger, may she and all who love her acknowledge in each increase of strength that the Lord has a new claim upon her affection and praise.

May the Lord keep them in His care, give them faith to trust in Christ who died for the ungodly when we were yet without strength, and make them strong in the Lord and not in themselves, for all strength of every sort comes from God and the glory of our strength must lie in God alone.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, Thou art the Author of all being and the giver of all strength, look in mercy upon this dear sister now lying in the hospital. Lay Thy healing hand upon her and if it be Thy will raise her up again. Forgive her sins and heal her infirmities, for healing and pardon are in happy conjunction in Christ. Strengthen her in body and in spirit, renew her strength as she waits upon Thee, and comfort her family with Thy presence. Bless also her sons and keep them walking up and down in Thy name, trusting wholly in Jesus. Hear our cry and let Thy will be done, for Christ's sake. Amen.
