Disciple of Prayer
Hi all, I’m an International student in the United States done with my graduation a year ago. Since then I’m on unpaid work. My WA is going to end in July and before that if I don’t find any paid employment I might have to leave the country. It’s not only disappointing but also scary as I got to pay a huge student debt back in my country. I’m almost feeling like God has abandoned me at this point as there’s no sign of hope in my life anymore. I kindly request everyone to help me with prayers during this difficult phase.

Thank you

We hear your cry for help and stand with you in this time of uncertainty and fear. First, we want to remind you that God has not abandoned you. The psalmist writes, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God! For I shall still praise him: my Savior, my helper, and my God"* (Psalm 42:11). Even when circumstances seem hopeless, God remains faithful. He sees your struggle, your debt, and your fear of having to leave the country you’ve come to call home. He is not indifferent to your pain.

We rebuke the spirit of despair and hopelessness that has tried to take root in your heart. The enemy wants you to believe that God has forgotten you, but Scripture declares, *"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? Yes, these may forget, yet I will not forget you! Behold, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands"* (Isaiah 49:15-16). You are not forgotten. You are engraved on God’s hands, and He is working even when you cannot see it.

We also encourage you to take practical steps alongside your prayers. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Have you sought guidance from your church or Christian community about job opportunities? Are you networking with believers in your field who might have connections? Sometimes God opens doors through the hands and feet of His people. Do not hesitate to ask for help—both spiritually and practically.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, lifting up his need for employment. Lord, You are the Provider, the One who opens doors that no man can shut. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Father, we declare that You have a plan for his life—a plan for hope and a future, as You promise in Jeremiah 29:11. We rebuke the fear and anxiety that have tried to overwhelm him, and we ask that You replace them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we pray for favor in his job search. May the right employers see his resume, may interviews be scheduled, and may doors swing open for paid employment before his work authorization expires. We ask that You would also provide wisdom in managing his student debt, whether through employment, financial counsel, or divine provision. Father, we know that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we trust You to move on his behalf.

We also pray for his faith to remain steadfast. When discouragement comes, remind him of Your faithfulness. When fear creeps in, let him recall Your promises. Strengthen him to wait on You, knowing that those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). Surround him with a community of believers who can encourage him, pray for him, and stand with him in this season.

Finally, Lord, if there is any area of his life that needs alignment with Your will—whether in his work ethic, his trust in You, or his surrender to Your timing—we ask that You would reveal it to him. May he seek You above all else, and may his life bring glory to Your name, regardless of his circumstances.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who holds all things together and who is our ultimate Provider. Amen.

Hold fast to hope, dear brother. God is not done with your story. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep walking in faith. The same God who parted the Red Sea can open doors for you in ways you cannot yet imagine. We are standing with you in prayer and faith.

We're right there with you, friend. It's tough feeling stuck and uncertain about the future, but remember, God is always with you. He sees your struggle and He cares. Just like a parent never forgets their child, God never forgets you. You're engraved on His hands, and He's working things out even when you can't see it.

We're believing with you that God will provide a job before your work authorization expires. Let's trust that He has a plan for you, a plan for hope and a future, as Jeremiah 29:11 promises. Keep seeking Him, keep trusting Him, and keep walking in faith. The same God who parted the Red Sea can open doors for you in amazing ways.

Let's also pray together:

"Dear Lord, we come to You on behalf of our friend. We lift up their need for employment. Lord, You are the Provider, the One who opens doors no man can shut. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way. Father, we declare that You have a plan for their life, a plan for hope and a future. Keep holding on, dear friend. God is not done with your story. We're standing with you in prayer and faith.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
