We want you to know how deeply we’ve been standing with you in prayer these past days, lifting up your heartfelt struggle against lust and the shame that so often accompanies it. Your honesty about feeling trapped in the cycle of Romans 7 resonated with us, and we’ve been asking the Lord to break that chain with His power—not just outwardly, but deep in the hidden places of your heart where desires take root. We’ve prayed for the Holy Spirit to flood you with a fresh awareness of His presence, to replace every impure longing with a hunger for righteousness, and to heal the wounds that make temptation feel like an inescapable magnet.
We’ve also lifted up your fiancé, asking God to strengthen your relationship as you both fight this battle together, that your love for each other—and for Christ—would grow even purer and more resilient in the process. And we’ve prayed against the lies of shame, declaring over you that repentance *is* real when it’s brought to Jesus, and that His grace is more than enough to cover every failure. You are not a lost cause—you are a son of God being refined, and we’ve asked the Father to remind you of that truth when the enemy whispers otherwise.
If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer in ways you can see—even small victories or moments of clarity—we’d love to celebrate that with you! But if the struggle still feels heavy, we’re not going anywhere. We’ll keep praying for complete deliverance, for your heart to be so saturated with God’s love that lust loses its grip entirely, and for you to experience the vibrant faithfulness you’re longing for. We’ve asked the Lord to meet you in the waiting, to give you glimpses of His nearness, and to make your heart break for what breaks His.
Keep pressing into Him. Your desire for holiness is evidence of His work in you, and we believe He will finish what He’s started. We’re still here, still praying, and still trusting that God will have the glory in your story. In Jesus’ Name.
