Prayer against attacks

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Prayer for protection. I need prayer for overall protection. It's been a non-stop attack on me for many years and I'm tired. I cannot say that good choices have not played a part and I need lots and lots of forgiveness for that. Still, there are a lot of attacks that have come and I'm tired of evil having its way in my life. I want to prosper in Christ and I feel I live in defeat.

We hear the weariness in your heart, and we stand with you in this battle, for the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. The attacks you describe are not unfamiliar to the children of God, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12). Yet, be encouraged, for the Lord has already overcome the world (John 16:33), and in Him, you too shall overcome.

First, we must address the weight of conviction you carry. You have acknowledged that poor choices have played a part in your struggles, and this is a sign of a heart that is tender before the Lord. Repentance is the pathway to restoration, and God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness when we confess (1 John 1:9). Do not let the enemy condemn you, for there is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). Instead, receive the forgiveness that Christ has already secured for you on the cross and walk in the freedom of His grace. If there are specific sins or areas of disobedience that need to be brought into the light, we urge you to lay them before the Lord now. He is waiting with open arms to cleanse and restore you.

It is also vital to remember that our authority in spiritual battles comes through the name of Jesus Christ. You did not mention His name in your request, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and the power to stand against the enemy. Jesus said, “Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father. Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:12-13). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we rebuke the enemy and claim victory.

Now, let us turn to the attacks you are facing. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly. You are not meant to live in defeat, for the Lord has called you to be more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). The fact that you are tired is understandable, but do not lose heart. Instead, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:11). This armor includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the preparation of the Good News of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With these, you are equipped to withstand every attack and to stand firm in the day of evil.

We also want to encourage you to examine the areas of your life where the enemy may be finding a foothold. Are there ungodly relationships, unconfessed sins, or habits that do not honor the Lord? Are you filling your mind with things that are pure, lovely, and praiseworthy, or are you consuming media and entertainment that open doors to darkness (Philippians 4:8)? Sometimes, the attacks we face are intensified because we have given the enemy legal ground in our lives. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas that need to be surrendered to Him, and then take action to close those doors. This may require difficult choices, such as ending relationships that are not God-honoring or walking away from sinful behaviors, but the freedom and peace that come from obedience are worth it.

Lastly, we want to remind you that prosperity in Christ is not merely about material blessing but about walking in the fullness of His purpose for your life. It is about experiencing His peace, His joy, and His presence even in the midst of trials. Jesus said, “But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). When your focus is on Him and His kingdom, He will provide everything you need. Trust in His timing and His ways, for they are perfect.

Now, let us pray together for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister who is weary from the relentless attacks of the enemy. Lord, we ask that You surround them with Your divine protection, covering them with Your feathers so that under Your wings, they may find refuge (Psalm 91:4). Father, we rebuke every scheme of the enemy that has sought to bring harm, defeat, and weariness into their life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every spirit of oppression, fear, and condemnation to flee and to never return. We break every curse, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against them, and we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).

Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for every sin, every poor choice, and every area of disobedience in their life. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and restore unto them the joy of Your salvation (Psalm 51:12). Strengthen them, Lord, in their inner being by Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in victory and not in defeat. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding and renew their mind with Your truth (Philippians 4:7, Romans 12:2).

Father, we pray that You would expose every area where the enemy has gained a foothold in their life. Give them the courage and the wisdom to close those doors and to walk in full obedience to You. Help them to put on the whole armor of God daily, that they may stand firm against every attack. Lord, we declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them, and that they will prosper in every way as their soul prospers (3 John 1:2).

We ask that You would surround them with godly community—brothers and sisters in Christ who will stand with them in prayer, encourage them in the faith, and hold them accountable to Your Word. Lord, let them experience Your abundant life, Your freedom, and Your victory in every area. May they walk in the fullness of Your calling and purpose for their life, and may they testify of Your goodness and faithfulness.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your power, Your love, and Your promises. May Your will be done in their life, and may You receive all the glory. In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Stand firm, dear one. The Lord is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone in this battle—we are standing with you, and the hosts of heaven are fighting on your behalf. Victory is yours in Christ Jesus!

Dear friend, we hear your weariness and we're here with you, standing in the gap. We've been where you are, feeling the relentless attacks, the tiredness, the desire to prosper in Christ but feeling defeated. We want you to know, you're not alone.

First, let's acknowledge the enemy's tactics. He wants to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came so we could have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). The attacks you're facing are real, but so is Jesus' victory over them. Remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

We want to encourage you to keep seeking the Lord, keep repenting, keep forgiving. Forgiveness is not just for others, but also for ourselves. Hold onto the promise that there is no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). You are forgiven, you are loved, and you are free.

Also, let's not forget the power of Jesus' name. It's through Him that we have access to the Father and the power to stand against the enemy. So, let's declare His name over your life. Let's pray:

"Lord Jesus, we come to You today, lifting up our dear friend. We ask for Your divine protection to surround them, covering them with Your feathers so they can find refuge under Your wings (Psalm 91:4). We rebuke every scheme of the enemy, every spirit of oppression, fear, and condemnation. We break every curse, every stronghold, and every assignment of the enemy against them. Lord, we declare that they are more than a conqueror through Christ who loves them, and that they will prosper in every way as their soul prospers (3 John 1:2).

We ask that You would surround them with godly community - brothers and sisters in Christ who will stand with them in prayer, encourage them in the faith, and hold them accountable to Your Word. Lord, let them experience Your abundant life, Your freedom, and Your victory in every area. May they walk in the fullness of Your calling and purpose for their life, and may they testify of Your goodness and faithfulness.

In Jesus' mighty and precious name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, dear one, the Lord is with you. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). You are not alone, and victory is yours in Christ Jesus!

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
