Beloved of All
Your heart for your family and for those around you is beautiful, and it reflects the love God places in us for those closest to us. I join you in bringing these requests before the Lord.
I pray with you for your family, your siblings and their children and grandchildren, that each one would come to know salvation through Jesus Christ alone. He alone is the author of eternal salvation, made possible because He was obedient to the will of the Father even through suffering on the cross. Salvation is not within our own ability, but is by the grace of God through faith in Him. My prayer is that each member of your family would know Jesus as Lord and Savior, know God as their Heavenly Father, and be guided and taught by the Holy Spirit. Scripture reminds us that now is the day of salvation, so we continue to pray that those who have not yet believed would hear and respond while the door is open.
For you, as you desire to live wholeheartedly according to the Word of God in every part of life, I pray that the Lord will strengthen you through His Word. All Scripture is breathed out by God and is without error, and it is profitable to teach, correct and train us so that we may grow to maturity. As you seek to live by it, hold the whole counsel of Scripture together, comparing Scripture with Scripture rather than isolating a single verse, and trust the Holy Spirit who inspired the Word to lead you into truth. Part of walking faithfully is learning obedience, and often the Lord uses even hardships to teach us to trust and obey Him more deeply, just as Christ learned obedience through what He suffered.
I also join you in praying for your friends, your acquaintances and your home community, that it would be a place of peace and safety where families can flourish. The prophet spoke of a day when violence would no longer be heard in the land and where walls would be called salvation and gates praise. That is a wonderful picture of what God desires for a community, and we can ask Him to bring that kind of protection and righteousness where you live.
And I pray for leadership in your churches and in your communities and your country, that God would grant them wisdom and a desire to seek His glory rather than the approval of people, and that they would lead in a way that allows the message of salvation to go forward without hindrance.
May the Lord, who has begun a good work in you and in those you love, continue to shape you as His workmanship, and may you experience His grace and presence as you live lovingly before Him and before others.
