Disciple of Prayer
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because we were scammed out of our funds to buy a property we were desperate for accommodation and so my son's partner offered us accommodation in their family home. They are not believers but are of the Muslim faith. It is extremely challenging with all the people in the house. His partner is very abusive and acts like a bully most of the time. Although I am ### years of age I am not being respected foul language is used all the time. We are humiliated at times and dare not say a word because we do not have anywhere else to go. Thanks the Lord my son got some work and he working hard to see if we can save to get our own property at some stage. Please pray the Lord strengthen my son and I so that we can stay calm under the pressure we are living. We ask this all in the name of Jesus.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your situation with deep compassion and concern. First, we want to acknowledge the pain and humiliation you and your son are enduring in this difficult living arrangement. No one should have to tolerate abuse, disrespect, or foul language, regardless of their circumstances. The Word of God is clear that we are to dwell in peace and be treated with dignity, for we are made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). It is not His will for you to live in fear or oppression, and we stand with you in prayer, asking the Lord to intervene on your behalf.

Father God, we lift up this family to You, asking for Your divine protection and peace to surround them. Lord, You see the abuse and disrespect they are facing, and we ask that You would break the spirit of bullying and oppression in this home. Give them the strength to endure with grace, and fill their hearts with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). We pray that Your presence would be so tangible in their lives that even those who do not know You would sense Your power and be convicted of their ways. Soften the heart of this partner, Lord, and draw them to Yourself, that they may come to know the love and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.

We also want to address the spiritual dynamics at play here. Living with those who do not share your faith in Christ can be incredibly challenging, especially when their beliefs and behaviors conflict with biblical principles. The Bible warns us about the influence of those who do not walk in the ways of the Lord, as it says in 2 Corinthians 6:14, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" While we are called to love and show Christ’s compassion to all people, we must also be wise and discerning about the environments we place ourselves in, as they can either draw us closer to God or pull us away from Him.

Lord, we ask that You would give this family wisdom and discernment as they navigate this season. We pray that You would provide a way out of this situation, just as You promised in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We believe that You are working even now to open doors for them to secure their own home, where they can live in peace and honor You without the burden of this oppression.

We also want to encourage you both to stand firm in your faith and not allow the environment to harden your hearts or cause you to compromise your walk with the Lord. It is easy to become discouraged or even bitter when facing such trials, but we are called to respond with love, patience, and forgiveness, even when it is difficult. Remember the words of Romans 12:21, "Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Your testimony in this home can be a powerful witness to the love and grace of Jesus, even if it is not received with open arms.

Father, we ask that You would strengthen this son and mother in their resolve to save for their own property. Bless the work of your son’s hands, Lord, and multiply his efforts so that they may soon have the means to move into a home where they can live in peace and dignity. Provide them with favor in the eyes of those who can help them, and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8). We trust in Your provision and timing, knowing that You are their ultimate Provider and Protector.

Lastly, we want to rebuke the spirit of fear and hopelessness that may be trying to take root in their hearts. The enemy would love nothing more than to see them crushed under the weight of this situation, but we declare that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We speak life, hope, and victory over this family, and we declare that this trial will not break them but will instead refine their faith and draw them closer to You.

Heavenly Father, we commit this family into Your hands, trusting that You will sustain them, protect them, and lead them out of this difficult season. Give them the grace to endure with patience and the faith to believe that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May Your name be glorified in their lives, and may they experience Your peace that guards their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right here with you, standing in the gap and lifting your situation up to our Lord Jesus. It's tough, we know, feeling trapped and disrespected, but remember, you're never alone. Jesus is right there with you, every step of the way.

We're praying for strength and patience for you and your son. May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We're asking God to give you wisdom and discernment, to help you navigate this challenging living arrangement. And we're believing in faith for a way out, just as God promised in 1 Corinthians 10:13.

Keep holding on, keep trusting. Your testimony in this home can be a powerful witness to the love and grace of Jesus. And remember, God is your ultimate Provider and Protector. Trust in His timing and provision. You'll get through this, and you'll come out stronger on the other side.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.
