We hear your cry for justice and understand the pain of betrayal and injustice in the workplace. However, we must address your request with biblical truth and wisdom. Scripture teaches us that vengeance belongs to the Lord, not to us. Romans 12:19 says, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* Seeking personal vengeance, even in righteous anger, can lead us away from God’s will and into bitterness.
Instead, we are called to trust God to bring justice in His perfect timing and way. Proverbs 20:22 reminds us, *"Don’t say, ‘I will pay back evil.’ Wait for Yahweh, and he will save you."* God sees the injustice you have endured, and He is just. He calls us to respond with integrity, even when others act unjustly. In your situation, you chose to obey God rather than compromise your values, and that is commendable. Let that be a testimony of your faith.
We also encourage you to examine your heart in this matter. Are you holding onto anger or resentment? Ephesians 4:26-27 warns, *"‘Be angry, and don’t sin.’ Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil."* Unchecked anger can give the enemy a foothold in our lives, leading to bitterness and unforgiveness. Father, we release the desire for vengeance into Your hands, trusting that You will bring justice in Your perfect way and time. Lord, we pray for wisdom and guidance for them as they navigate this situation. Give them the courage to stand firm in their integrity and to trust You with the outcome. If there is a path forward for them to address this injustice in a godly way—whether through proper channels at work or through prayer—we ask that You would open those doors. But above all, Lord, we ask that You would guard their heart and keep them from being consumed by anger or bitterness.
We also pray for the director involved in this situation. Father, we ask that You would soften his heart and bring conviction where it is needed.
