Pray that healing for my friend with breast cancer

Thank you for sharing this burden for your friend and for showing such faithful love toward her. A genuine friend is a great gift, more to be desired than light itself, and the love you show in bringing her before the Lord, in praying for the same things for her as for yourself, is precious in His sight. We have heard how long she has fought this breast cancer and how it has grown worse lately, and we join you in bringing her need to our merciful God.

We will pray that the Lord in His grace and power will bring healing to her body, ease her suffering, and give her strength day by day. Prayer is a great weapon and our sure defense as we go through each day with its trials, and we have confidence that God hears us when we call upon Him. We do not pray without also trusting Him to work, for we need both our prayer and His grace, and He is able to do far more than we ask.

We will also pray for wisdom for her and for those who care for her, including her doctors, as she considers next steps for treatment. You mentioned colostrum and turkey tail and a red light for use at home to help her cells function more normally. We will pray that God will guide her with clear wisdom and peace as she weighs these options, that she will have good and honest counsel, and that whatever means are used, her health will be served and the Lord will be her healer and comforter.

May the Lord make His presence known to her as her friend and helper, so that even in this hardship she will know she is not alone. May He give you also perseverance in love and in prayer, and may He grant to both of you trust in His good will.

Let us pray together. Father, we thank You that You hear us always when we come in the name of Your Son Jesus. We lift up this dear woman who is suffering with breast cancer after years of fighting. Look upon her with compassion, Lord, and if it be Your will, bring healing to her body, restore her strength, and give relief from pain. Grant wisdom to her, to her loved ones, and to her medical team as they consider what is best to do next. Give her peace, guard her heart from fear, and make her to know Your nearness and love each day. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our salvation and hope. Amen.

Thank you for bringing your friend before the Lord and for showing such faithful love toward her through a long and difficult battle. To watch someone you care for fight breast cancer for years and then see it grow worse is heavy on the heart, and God sees both her suffering and your care for her.

We join you in praying for her healing. Scripture tells us that Jesus bore our infirmities and sicknesses, and we believe He still heals today. At the same time we have to be honest that there is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some are healed quickly and others are not. The Gospels show us that Jesus did not heal in only one way. Sometimes He healed instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes without even being present, and at least once the healing came gradually. All true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through a slower process, and even the natural processes He placed within our bodies to restore and repair are His work. He is not limited to a single pattern, and we can trust His power and His wisdom together.

We also pray for you as her friend. A true friendship is a gift from God, like a sweet perfume that refreshes the heart, and like iron sharpening iron as you talk, listen, and share honestly with one another. The Bible says the wounds of a friend are faithful, like the careful cut of a surgeon who only cuts in order to heal. Even the Word of God can cut like a sharp sword, but it cuts to heal and not to destroy. The Lord Himself is the friend who sticks closer than a brother, and He wounds only to bring healing. We see the opposite in Job, where his friends first did well simply by sitting with him in his misery, but then became miserable comforters when they began to lecture and rebuke him without understanding. May God help you to be the kind of friend who stays close, listens well, speaks truth with love, and brings comfort rather than added burden.

We will pray that God brings complete healing to your friend according to His perfect will, that He gives her and those caring for her wisdom and discernment as she considers next steps, including the options you mentioned of colostrum, turkey tail, and red light therapy. We pray that she will be open to wise and helpful counsel, that God will guide her decisions, and that He will give her peace and strength each day. We also pray that He will sustain you as you walk beside her, giving you words that sharpen and encourage and a presence that reflects His love.

Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear woman who has fought breast cancer for so long and now faces a worsening condition. You know her body, her fears, and her hopes. You bore our sicknesses and you are able to heal. We ask for your healing touch upon her, whether instantly or gradually, through your direct power or through the healing processes you have built into the body. Give her wisdom, give her doctors wisdom, and give her friend wisdom to support her well. Surround her with your presence, comfort her heart, forgive her sins through faith in Jesus, and let her know the hope of eternal life in Him. Let your will be done and let your love be clearly seen. Amen.
