Pray that God cures my mom ### of her sickness

We join you in lifting up your dear mother before the throne of grace and we stand with you in asking for her healing, for we know how heavy it is to watch a mother suffer from sickness and to feel helpless to ease her pain.

We are reminded in scripture that our God is the great healer and that He cares deeply for those who are afflicted. Psalm 103:2-3 says, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Jeremiah 30:17 says, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. We also cling to the promise in James 5:15 that the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We know that He is Yahweh who heals you as declared in Exodus 15:26, and that by His wounds we are healed according to Isaiah 53:5.

We notice that your request asks God for healing but does not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to lovingly share why His name is so essential. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that we receive salvation and approach God with confidence. Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 teaches, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be saved we must believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, that He died for our sins and rose again, as Romans 10:9 explains. It is in His name that we pray and in His name that healing and forgiveness flow, so we encourage you to place your trust fully in Jesus Christ as your Savior and to bring every need to the Father through Him.

We pray together for your mother now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this beloved mother to You. You know her by name, You see her sickness and You know every detail of her suffering. We ask in Jesus name that You would lay Your healing hand upon her, restore her health, ease her pain, and strengthen her body according to Your perfect will. We pray that You would give wisdom to any doctors and caregivers who attend to her, and that You would give peace and strength to her family as they wait upon You. Above all we pray that she and her family would draw near to You through Jesus, trusting Your goodness and Your sovereignty, knowing that whether You choose to heal instantly, gradually, or to sustain her through this trial, You are faithful and You work all things for good for those who love You. Comfort her heart, forgive her sins through the blood of Jesus, and let her feel Your presence and love surrounding her each day. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our only hope, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently for her, to speak scripture over her, to ensure she is receiving proper medical care, and to trust the Lord with the outcome. Keep seeking Him daily through prayer and His word, and rest in the knowledge that He hears the prayers offered in Jesus name and that His compassion for you and your mother is unfailing.

We have been thinking of you and your mom since reading your request. Seeing a parent sick brings such worry and helplessness, and we want you to know you are not carrying this alone. We are praying for her and for you, and we are grateful you reached out so we can stand with you before the Lord.

It helps to stay close to those caring for her. If she is under a doctor's care, keep sharing updates and questions with them as you are able, and if you can keep a simple note of what they share it can help when you are tired. Let a trusted family member, friend or pastor know how you both are doing so they can support you practically and pray with you in person. Taking brief moments to rest and eat well also matters while you are watching over her.

We trust God hears every prayer for healing and that His presence is near whether at home or in the hospital, whether answers come quickly or take time. We will keep asking Him for mercy and strength for you both.

Father, we lift to You and ask for Your gentle care over her body and spirit. Bring wisdom to those treating her, comfort to her through each day, and peace and strength to her child who loves her so much. We ask in Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest request for your mother has been brought before the Lord, and we count it a privilege to agonize with you in prayer to God for her, as the Apostle besought the brethren to strive together with him in their prayers.

We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they are too painful to let us slumber in silence, and they soon urge us to seek a physician for healing. How much more should they urge us to seek the Great Physician. There is a sickness which leads to everlasting health, when it drives the soul to Him who alone can heal. By the Word of the Lord were the heavens made, and by the Word of the Lord are sick souls healed, and that Word is Christ Himself, whom God has sent for the healing of poor sin sick souls. It is the Word of God applied by the Holy Spirit that is the means of healing, so let the Scriptures be diligently read and heard in her room and at her bedside, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.

Let us pray together. O Lord, help us. Lord, help my mother in her sickness, for Thou art the God of all mercy and the God of peace. Thou seest her frame and knowest her pain, and not a groan escapes Thine ear. We beseech Thee to lay Thy healing hand upon her and restore her if it be Thy gracious will, and to give skill to those who care for her. Above all, cause Thy face to shine upon her and give her to know the healing of her soul through Jesus Christ our Lord, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Grant her faith to rest upon Him, patience under trial, and a heart to praise Thee whether Thou shalt raise her up or keep her in the valley. A true prayer from one who is near unto the gates of death is a prevailing prayer, and we plead the merit of Christ who ever liveth to make intercession for us. Let this affliction be for Thy glory and for her eternal good, that whether in sickness or in health she may be Thine. Hear us for Jesus sake. Amen.

Take comfort that He who has prayed for His people must prevail, and He is touched with the feeling of our infirmities. Continue instant in prayer, watch with thanksgiving, and leave your dear mother in those hands which were wounded for our healing, trusting that He who is once our healer will keep the soul in health unto everlasting life.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. We join you in bringing your mother before the Lord and asking for His mercy and healing hand upon her. We pray that God, who is the true physician of both body and soul, would look upon her in compassion, ease her sickness, and restore her to health if it is His gracious will.

We know that God hears the prayers of His people offered through Jesus Christ alone, and that He knows what is best for us even when we do not know how to pray as we ought. As Scripture says, we do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us. Therefore we ask with confidence, and we also trust His wisdom and love to do what is most expedient for her and for your family.

Let us pray together: Father in heaven, we thank You for Your goodness and Your power to heal. We lift up this dear mother to You and ask that You would touch her body, relieve her suffering, grant wisdom to those who care for her, and if it pleases You, bring her to full recovery. Give her and her family peace, strength, and patience in this trial, and help them to give thanks in all things and to rest in Your care.
