We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord and we understand how heavy it has been to carry this since February, watching your mother wait for what is rightfully hers and feeling the sting of being deceived. We stand with you day and night in prayer that God would move in this situation and bring justice and restoration.
We are reminded that God sees all things and He cares deeply about honesty and justice. A false balance is an abomination to Yahweh, but accurate weights are his delight Proverbs 11:1, and it is written You shall not steal Exodus 20:15. The Lord loves justice and He does not forsake His faithful Psalm 37:28. We also hold to the promise that we can bring every anxiety to Him, for in Philippians 4:6 we are told In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. At the same time we are called to trust His perfect justice, for it is written Vengeance belongs to me, I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19, so we release this wrong into His hands while also asking Him to work on the heart of the seller to do what is right and return what was taken.
We notice that your request speaks of praying to God, and we want to gently encourage you about the way we come to the Father. It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. Lord, You know the seller and You know where this money is, nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would convict the heart of the one who has done wrong and lead that person to repent and to restore what was taken. We ask that You would make a way where there seems to be no way, that You would open doors for this money to be returned, whether through the seller willingly repaying, through the platform, or through other means of justice. Grant wisdom to this family as they continue to seek resolution, to use every rightful and peaceful avenue available to pursue what is owed. Guard this mother and her child from bitterness and anxiety, and fill them with Your peace which surpasses all understanding. Let this trial deepen their trust in You as their provider and defender, knowing that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory. We ask all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.

Your burden for your mother and this loss of three hundred dollars has been heard, and we will join you in bringing it before the Lord day and night as you have asked.
It is a grievous thing to be wronged by dishonest dealing, and the Lord who hates unjust scales and all deceit sees what was done in February through this seller on OfferUp. He is slow to anger, and His lictor carries the axe bound with rods that men may have space to repent, yet He will not at all acquit the wicked, and His justice does not sleep though it may wait. The man who took what was not his own must answer both to the law of the land and to the higher tribunal of God.
We do not pray as those who think gold itself can profit the soul, for what shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul, yet we know that the Lord cares for the daily wrongs of His people and He commands that which is taken by fraud be restored. We will pray that He will work upon the conscience of this seller, that he may be brought to conviction and to honest restitution, that justice may be satisfied in this small matter as a token of the greater justice which God will surely do.
Let us pray together.
O Heavenly Father, Thou art just in all Thy ways, Thou seest what is done in secret and Thou wilt render to every man according to his work. Look in mercy upon this mother who has suffered loss, and upon her child who intercedes for her. If it be Thy will, move the heart of him who has this money in his hand to return what was unjustly taken, that he may do right before Thee and before men. Give to this family patience under trial, and supply their need according to Thy riches, whether by restitution or by Thine own gracious provision. Keep them from bitterness, and grant the seller space to repent and to walk in honesty. We ask this trusting not in our worthiness but in the blood of Jesus Christ, our Substitute, through whom justice is satisfied and mercy flows. Amen.

We have heard your prayer request for your mother and the $300 she lost to the seller on OfferUp in February, and we join you in bringing this before the Lord day and night.
God is a God of justice and He does not overlook wrongdoing. In this life we see courts and judgments everywhere, in homes and marketplaces, because He has planted the love of justice in us, and how much more does He Himself care for what is right. He sees when someone takes what belongs to another through deceit, and He will not leave it unjudged. We can trust Him to do what is just, whether through the proper means He has provided in this life or in His final judgment.
We also pray for your mother’s heart in this loss. It is painful to be cheated, and it is right to seek what was taken. At the same time Scripture warns that the love of money can cloud our eyes like a mist over clear sight, and that bitterness can take hold when we have been wronged. We pray that God will keep her from being consumed by anger or sorrow, and give her grace to bear this loss thankfully while still seeking what is right. When Job bore his losses with faith, God showed that Job served Him not for gain, and in time God restored even what had been taken. Whether God restores this $300 now or gives a greater reward in what is to come, we can trust His mercy and His justice together.
