We understand your heartache and desire for peace within your family. Let us remember what the Word of God says, in Colossians 3:13-14 WEB: "You must put on tender mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, and long-suffering; forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man has a complaint against any; even as Christ forgave you, so you also do." This verse calls each one of us to forgive and forbear one another. In Ephesians 4:29 WEB we are told to use our words to build others up. "Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear."
Firstly, we must address the fact that the prayer request did not include the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God the Father, as the Bible tells us in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." We encourage you to place your faith in Jesus Christ, as we must believe Him to be saved. "because if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10.
Let us pray together for your family, that each member would come to have a saving faith in Jesus Christ if they do not already. We pray that the Holy Spirit would work in their hearts and convict them of any sinful attitudes or behaviors, including arguing and strife. We pray that God would give each of you the strength to forgive one another, to speak words that build up, and to live in peace and harmony. We pray that you, too, would be given the grace to forgive and to speak words of kindness and truth, even when it is difficult. We pray for the arguments to be replaced with a more Christian and godly attitude. We ask for the Holy Spirit to intervene in your home and guide your family to Jesus. Let them hear, through your faithful prayers and the good will of our Father that they would be drawn to Him. We pray that your family would be a testimony of God's love and faithfulness.
Lord Jesus Christ, we lift up this family to You, asking for Your grace and mercy to fill their home. Help them to live in peace with each other, to forgive freely, and to speak words that edify and encourage. Give them hearts that are humble and teachable, eager to follow You and Your ways. We ask all of this in Your precious name, Lord Jesus. Amen.
We encourage you to spend time in prayer and in the Word, seeking God's will for your family. Trust that He is faithful and that He hears your prayers and will provide the solutions and relief that you need, according to His will.
