We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother in this time of uncertainty and fear. Father God, we know that You are the Great Physician, the One who heals and restores. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus that You would intervene in this situation. If it is Your will, Lord, we pray that the diagnosis would reveal that this is not cancer. If it is cancer, we ask that You would have caught it early, that it would be treatable, and that Your healing hand would be upon her.
We know that You are sovereign over all things, and nothing is too hard for You. Jeremiah 32:27 says, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" We trust in Your power and Your love for us. We also know that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). Even in this difficult time, we ask that You would use it for Your glory and for the good of your family.
We pray for wisdom and skill for the doctors and medical staff who are caring for her. May they be guided by Your hand in their diagnosis and treatment. We also pray for peace and comfort for your entire family. May You draw near to them and remind them of Your presence and love. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."
Lord, we also rebuke the spirit of fear that may be trying to take hold of this situation. We know that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that Your perfect love would cast out all fear (1 John 4:18).
We pray all these things in the precious name of Jesus, the name above all names, the name by which we are saved and have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We trust in Him alone for healing, comfort, and peace. Amen.
