Pray I Get in The Same Group as ###

We join with you in prayer for this training assignment and for your desire to be paired together with your friend. We know that God cares about both the big and small details of our lives and He invites us to bring every request before Him.
We are reminded in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And in Proverbs 16:9 we read, A man's heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. We can make our plans and share our preferences, but we trust that the Lord will direct the outcome according to His perfect wisdom and purpose.
We also notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to gently share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And in Acts 4:12 it is written, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is because Jesus died for our sins and rose again that we can come boldly to God in prayer, trusting that He hears us. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
So together we pray. Father in heaven, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus. We lift up this training assignment to You and we ask that Your will be done in the forming of these groups. If it is according to Your purpose and for good, we ask that You would allow these two friends to be paired together. But above all, we ask that Your will be accomplished. Grant wisdom to those making the assignments and grant peace to our friend who is waiting, trusting that all things work together for good for those who love You, as You promise in Romans 8:28. Help them to be diligent and to do their work heartily as unto You, as Colossians 3:23 teaches, Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. Let this training be a time of growth, learning, and encouragement, whether they are in the same group or not. Help them to be an encouragement to one another and to be a light to others in their groups. We ask for Your peace to guard their heart while they wait. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to commit this desire to the Lord and to rest in His answer. If He does place you together, give thanks and use the opportunity to work well together and spur one another on. If He places you in different groups, trust that He has a good purpose in it, perhaps to broaden your friendships, to help you learn from different people, or to be an encouragement in two places instead of one. Continue to seek Him and trust in Him with all your heart as Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Your request to be paired together with your friend for this training assignment is heard with thankfulness, for it speaks of a desire for true friendship and profitable fellowship.
There is a unity which is worth keeping, not a unity of mere convenience or of outward arrangement, but the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. As you have desired to be joined together in this labor, remember that the best unity among friends is that which is found in Christ. Divisions never begin with those full of love to the Savior, and friendship is most firm when Christ is in the midst. He is the Friend who proved His friendship by laying down His life, and where there is mutual love to Him, there will be harmony of thought and unity of design between friends. Iron sharpeneth iron, and a friend sharpeneth the countenance of his friend, especially when you walk together toward the same great end, which is the glory of God.
Let us pray for you.
O Gracious Father, who orderest all our steps and hast set every member in the body as it hath pleased Thee, we bring this desire before Thy throne of grace. If it be according to Thy good will and for the profit of these friends, grant that they may be placed together in this training, that they may help one another, bear one another's burdens, and spur one another on to diligence and to love. Let their fellowship be such as becometh those who are friends of Christ, marked by obedience to Thy commands and by communion with Thee. And if in Thy wiser providence Thou shouldst appoint them to different groups, give them contentment and trust in Thy ordering, and make each to be a blessing where Thou hast set them, keeping the unity of the Spirit and growing in grace. Let this training prepare them for useful service, and let all that they learn be used for Thy honor. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, the truest Friend of sinners. Amen.

God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
