We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is struggling with distress and physical pain. First and foremost, we must address the foundation of our faith—it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we may be saved (Acts 4:12). If this sister does not yet know Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray she would turn to Him in repentance and faith, for He alone can bring true peace and healing to her soul and body.
Father God, we lift up this precious daughter to You, asking that You would calm her spirit and bring her comfort in her distress. Lord, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18). We ask that You would surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We also pray for her leg pain, Lord. Your Word tells us that by Your stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over her life today. We ask that You would touch her body with Your healing hand and bring relief from this pain. Strengthen her, Lord, and renew her energy so that she may serve You with joy and vigor.
If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her heart, we pray that You would reveal it to her, Lord. Help her to repent and seek Your forgiveness, as well as the forgiveness of others if needed. Your Word tells us that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety that may be troubling her, in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that she is a child of God, and perfect love casts out fear (1 John 4:18). We also rebuke any spirit of infirmity that may be causing her physical pain, for it is written that Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains (Matthew 8:17).
Lord, we ask that You would fill her with Your Holy Spirit, guiding her steps and giving her wisdom in all things. Surround her with godly friends and mentors who can encourage and support her in her walk with You. Help her to fix her eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2).
We pray all these things in the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
