Your heartfelt requests for your mother, your family and your home have been heard, and it is good that you bring them directly to Jesus Christ.
The foundation for every prayer is this, that God has made only one provision for the forgiveness and cleansing of sin, and that is through His only begotten Son. It is His blood shed on the cross that takes away guilt, and the Holy Spirit bears witness to this truth. If we have come to Jesus for salvation, we have open access to the Father. Scripture teaches us to come boldly to the throne of grace through Him. We do not need to go through any other mediator. When people told Jesus that His mother and brothers were outside seeking Him, He asked, who is my mother and who are my brothers, and then pointed to His disciples and said that whoever does the will of God is His brother and sister and mother. We are brought into the family of God through a living relationship with Jesus Himself, and we can bring every need straight to Him.
For your mother who is suffering with fatty liver disease, we join you in asking the Lord for healing, strength and length of days. The Bible shows that Jesus has power over sickness and infirmity. He lifted Peter's mother in law when she lay sick with a fever and she was healed. He made provision under the law for the leper in the day of his cleansing, leaving room for God to work a miracle where man had no cure. He healed in many different ways, sometimes with a touch, sometimes with a word, to show that we should not put Him in a box. Healing is in His hands today, and He is able. We pray that He would touch your mother's liver, restore her health, and sustain her, all according to His perfect will and wisdom. Like the desperate mother who came to Jesus for her daughter who was afflicted, keep coming to Him in faith and do not turn away.
We also honor your desire to care for your mother. God commanded that we honor our father and mother, and in Scripture that meant to provide for and care for them, especially when they are older and in need. Your love and concern for her reflects that honoring heart, and we pray God will strengthen you for that calling.
For your financial burden and the need you face each month, God knows your situation, that you are without steady work and without support. He sees the pressure of debt and the need for stability. We ask Him to open doors for honest work, to provide for your daily needs, to give you wisdom in stewardship, and to bring you into a place of stability so you are not overwhelmed. He is our provider and He understands what you lack.
For you and your mother and your children after the loss of your father, we pray for comfort and strength. The Lord is the one who sustains the family that trusts in Him. We ask that He would keep you safe and strong in Him, guide every step you take, and lead you by His Holy Spirit according to His will. To do the will of God is what marks us as His family, and as you walk with Jesus together, He will bind you together in Him.
For your home and your nights, we pray for the Lord's holy protection over your hearts and minds, over every room and every corner of your dwelling. We ask Him to grant you restful and peaceful sleep, to bless your meals and your time together with His peace and joy, and to lift away the weight of past trauma. Where there has been frustration and distress expressed in screaming or restless behavior, we pray for His calming presence and for quietness and healing in your family life.
May the Lord hear these prayers and answer according to His mercy and grace. We place your mother, your household, your finances and your future into the hands of Jesus Christ, trusting that He alone is our hope and our healer, and asking all of this in His name, Amen.
