We have received your prayer request and we are joining you in bringing this need before the Lord.
We understand how heavy this is to watch someone you care for become so lethargic that it is hard for her to wake up even to take her medicine, especially after the first round of antibiotics seemed to help and then the infection returned with new symptoms. We are praying that God in His mercy will give her strength to wake, to receive the medicine He has provided through the hands of physicians, and to be restored to health.
Scripture reminds us that we are often as those sunk in a deep sleep and in need of being awakened, and that we must look to Christ, the Sun of Righteousness, who alone brings light and life. We pray that He would awaken her body from this lethargy and bring healing, as a physician applies medicine to deliver a patient from disease and restore health. We know that healing, when it comes, is not only the removal of punishment or pain, but a gift of His abundant grace and love in Christ Jesus.
We pray now for her:
Heavenly Father, we come before You through Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is our Savior and our hope. Have mercy on this dear one who is ill. Give her strength to wake and to take the medicine that has been given for her healing. We ask that You would use it to clear this infection completely, to lift this extreme lethargy, and to restore her strength. Grant wisdom to those caring for her and to her doctors, and if hospitalization is needed for her good, make that clear and provide for it. Above all, let her and those who love her know Your comfort, Your presence, and Your power to heal. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, trusting in Your abundant mercy and love. Amen.
We encourage you to continue to help her take her medicine as prescribed and to stay in close contact with her medical providers. If she becomes harder to wake, more lethargic, or her symptoms worsen, please seek medical help without delay. We will continue to pray that the Lord will restore her and spare her from further complications.
