We hear the burden on your heart for this dear one who is so ill and we join with you in bringing her before the Lord together in Jesus name. It is so distressing when an infection seems to improve and then returns with new and more worrying symptoms, and we understand your concern for her extreme lethargy and difficulty waking to take her medicine. We are praying with you that the Lord will touch her body and give her strength to wake, to receive the medicine she needs, and that the infection would be completely cleared without the need for hospitalization, though we also trust His wisdom if additional care is needed for her restoration.
We take comfort in what Scripture tells us about our God as healer. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And James 5:15 reminds us the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. We also cling to Isaiah 41:10 where the Lord says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Psalm 41:3 says Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.
We lift her up now together. Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son and we ask for Your mercy and healing hand upon this precious one who is suffering from infection. Lord, You see how weak and lethargic she is and how hard it is for her to wake to take her medicine. We ask that You would give her strength to awaken, help her body to receive the medicine and let it work effectively to clear every trace of infection. Touch her body, restore her energy, clear her mind, and renew her health. Guide the hands and wisdom of those caring for her, and give her loved ones peace and discernment to know when to seek further medical help. If hospitalization would protect her and bring healing, we ask You to make that path clear and remove all fear. We ask for complete restoration according to Your will and for Your comfort to surround her and those who love her. In the name of Jesus we pray, amen.
We encourage you to stay in close contact with her medical providers without delay. Extreme lethargy and difficulty waking can be a sign that an infection is worsening and needs urgent attention, so please do not hesitate to call her doctor or seek emergency care if she cannot be easily awakened or her symptoms progress, even as we continue to pray. God often works through the skill and care of medical professionals as part of His provision for healing.
We also want to gently encourage you about the hope we have in Jesus, since your request did not mention His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We believe Jesus died for our sins and rose again so that all who trust in Him receive forgiveness and eternal life, and that we can bring every need to God confidently in His name. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus and to bring every prayer to the Father through Him.
