We stand with you in this spiritual battle, dear brother or sister in Christ. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we serve a God who is greater and who has already won the victory through the blood of Jesus Christ. You are not alone in this fight, we lift you up before the throne of grace, where our Savior intercedes on your behalf.
The Word of God tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." This is a spiritual battle, and we must put on the full armor of God to stand firm. Remember, too, that Jesus has already disarmed these powers and authorities through His death and resurrection (Colossians 2:15).
If you have not already, we encourage you to daily put on the armor of God as described in Ephesians 6:13-18: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray at all times in the Spirit, and stay vigilant in prayer for all the saints.
We also rebuke any spirit of fear, confusion, or oppression that may be attempting to take hold of you. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." You have been given authority in the name of Jesus to resist the devil, and he will flee from you (James 4:7). Stand firm in your identity as a child of God, redeemed by the blood of Christ, and do not give the enemy a foothold through sin, doubt, or unbelief.
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up to You, knowing that You are his/her refuge and fortress, a very present help in trouble. Lord, we ask that You would cover with Your precious blood and surround him/her with Your holy angels. Protect from every scheme of the enemy, every lie, every attack, every spirit of fear or oppression. We rebuke the devil and command him to flee in the name of Jesus. We declare that no weapon formed against shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against him/her in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).
Father, strengthen with Your might in the inner man. Fill him/her with the knowledge of Your will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, that he/she may walk worthy of You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10). Help to stand firm in the armor You have provided, to wield the sword of the Spirit, and to pray without ceasing.
Lord, if there are any areas in ’s life where the enemy has gained a foothold, we ask that You would reveal them and lead him/her to repentance. Cleanse from all unrighteousness and restore the joy of Your salvation. Remind that You are faithful and just to forgive our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).
We thank You, Father, that You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind. We declare that is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves him/her (Romans 8:37). May walk in the victory that is already his/hers in Jesus’ name. We pray all these things in the powerful, matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
We encourage you to stay rooted in the Word of God, for it is alive and active, sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Meditate on Scripture day and night, and let it dwell in you richly. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can stand with you in prayer and encouragement. The enemy may attack, but he cannot prevail against the body of Christ when we stand together in faith.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so today. The attacks you are facing may be a sign that the enemy sees the potential in you to advance God’s kingdom, and he wants to stop you. But you must first be born again, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and you will be saved (Romans 10:9). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).
You are loved, valued, and chosen by God. Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you will reap if you do not faint (Galatians 6:9). The battle belongs to the Lord, and He will fight for you. Stand firm, and see the salvation of the Lord!
