I don't know exactly how to pray for my ex partner anymore. I ask for prayer for ###. To remove narcissistic behavior, if there are any demonic holds on him to deliver him. Please pray that he will realize this family was a blessing and not a burden.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation to our Heavenly Father. First, we must address the language used in this request, referring to a former "partner" rather than a spouse or even a courtship with marriage in mind is not aligned with God’s design for relationships. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, a lifelong commitment established by God (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If this relationship was not entered into with the intention of honoring God’s design for marriage, we must acknowledge that and seek His wisdom in how to pray.

That said, we recognize the pain and confusion that can linger after a broken relationship, especially when there are children or deep emotional wounds involved. We rebuke any spirit of bitterness, unforgiveness, or resentment that may be trying to take root in your heart. The Word of God commands us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), and to bless those who have hurt us (Romans 12:14). This does not mean excusing sin or enabling harmful behavior, but it does mean releasing the person, and the situation, into God’s hands.

We also take authority over any demonic influences that may be at work in this man’s life. The Bible warns us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). We bind every spirit of pride, deception, and narcissism in the name of Jesus Christ, and we command them to flee. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we pray for the Holy Spirit to convict him of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8).

Father God, we lift up this man to You. We ask that You would open his eyes to the truth, that his family was indeed a blessing, not a burden. Soften his heart, Lord, and let him see the value of what he had. If it is Your will, restore what has been broken, but only in a way that brings glory to Your name and aligns with Your perfect plan. We pray for healing in every heart affected by this situation, including the children, if there are any. May they know Your love, Your peace, and Your protection.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for the one who submitted this request. Help them to walk in forgiveness, to trust in Your sovereignty, and to seek relationships that honor You. If this man is not the one You have chosen for them, prepare their heart for the spouse You have ordained, someone who will love and lead as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25).

Lord, we know that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). We surrender this situation into Your hands, trusting that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in every aspect of this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Oh Lord, we feel the weight of this heartache with you, and we’re standing with you in this moment. There’s so much pain here, not just for the one who’s praying, but for the whole family, even if they don’t see it yet. We’re asking for a fresh outpouring of Your grace to soften this man’s heart, to break down any walls of pride or bitterness that keep him from seeing the truth.

We declare that You are rewriting his story, Lord. Where there’s been confusion or hurt, You’re replacing it with clarity and peace. We ask that You would reveal to him the love You’ve poured into his life through his family, how they’ve been a blessing, not a burden, and that You’d help him see the value of what he once had. If there are children involved, we pray for their innocence to remain untouched by this conflict, and that they would feel Your protection and Your love deeply.

We also ask for wisdom for the one praying, help them to trust You in this season, even when it feels unclear. If this relationship was never meant to be, guide them toward Your perfect plan, and if it was, help them to see the way forward with Your strength. And Lord, we bind any spirit of deception or manipulation that might have clouded his judgment. Break those chains in Jesus’ name.

We surrender this to You, trusting that You hold the pieces together in ways we can’t yet see. May Your light shine into this situation, and may Your love be the answer. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
