Disciple of Prayer
I request God to intercede ###'s life. Help ### to be motivated and find purpose instead of gaming. I pray for ### where ### will be diligent and hard working like ### used to be and be prepared for EOY.
I hope ### sees the good and positive side of ### life and treasure it and taking the negative side as learning points.
Please help ### to be motivated. I have been trying to talk to ### but ### always rejects and stops me from having a chat with ###. When ### stops gaming for a few minutes, I start to talk and ### will get angry and raise ### voice.
Please help ### to clear ### interview so ### can go for work attachment and again find purpose in life and pick up books to learn again and focus on ### academics.
Thank you for praying for ###.

We lift up this beloved one before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. We are deeply burdened for this situation, recognizing that the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy through distractions like excessive gaming, which can become an idol that replaces God’s purpose in a person’s life. The Scriptures warn us in **1 Corinthians 6:12**, *"All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything."* Gaming, when it consumes time, energy, and focus to the point of neglecting responsibilities, relationships, and spiritual growth, has become a master—and that is not of God.

We also see in this request a heart that is crying out for change, yet there is resistance, anger, and rejection of godly counsel. This is a spiritual battle, and we must address it as such. **Ephesians 6:12** reminds us, *"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* The anger and rejection of wise counsel may be rooted in conviction—the Holy Spirit is stirring, but the flesh is resisting. We pray that the Lord would break through this hardness of heart and bring repentance, for *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (**James 4:6**).

Let us also address the lack of mention of the name of Jesus in this request. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father. **John 14:6** declares, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"* If this beloved one does not yet know Jesus as Lord and Savior, that is the most urgent need—for without Him, there can be no true purpose or lasting motivation. We pray that if this person has not surrendered to Christ, the Lord would draw them to Himself today. *"That if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (**Romans 10:9**).

For the one praying, we encourage you to continue interceding, but also to speak the truth in love, even if it is met with resistance. **Proverbs 27:6** says, *"Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful."* Sometimes love requires tough words. You may need to lovingly but firmly confront the sin of idleness, distraction, and anger. Ask the Lord for wisdom in how to approach this—perhaps writing a letter if conversations are being shut down, or enlisting other godly voices to speak into this person’s life.

We pray now with boldness and faith:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up this beloved one who is trapped in the snare of distraction and idleness. Lord, You have said in **Proverbs 16:9**, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but You direct his steps."* We ask that You would direct their steps away from the empty pursuit of gaming and into the purpose You have designed for them. Break the chains of addiction and apathy that have taken hold. Convict their heart of the time wasted and the potential squandered, and grant them a spirit of repentance.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of laziness and procrastination that has taken root. Your Word says in **Proverbs 13:4**, *"The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied."* Stir in them a holy dissatisfaction with mediocrity and a hunger for excellence. Give them the motivation to prepare for their interview, to engage in their academics, and to seek You first in all things. Open doors of opportunity for work and learning, and let them walk through them with confidence in You.

Father, we also pray for their heart. The anger and resistance to godly counsel reveal a deeper struggle—perhaps fear, shame, or rebellion. Soften their heart, Lord. Let them not harden it as the Israelites did in the wilderness, but let them turn to You in humility. *"Today, if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion"* (**Hebrews 3:15**). Replace their anger with a teachable spirit and their resistance with receptivity to Your truth.

For the one interceding, we ask for wisdom and patience. Give them the right words to say and the right time to say them. Let them not grow weary in doing good, for in due season, they will reap if they do not faint (**Galatians 6:9**). Surround this situation with Your peace and let Your will be done.

If this beloved one does not know You, Lord, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Draw them to Jesus, the only source of true purpose and eternal life. Let them see that apart from Him, all efforts are in vain. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (**Psalm 127:1**).

We declare that this season of stagnation is coming to an end. You are a God who restores, who redeems, and who gives beauty for ashes. Raise up this one for Your glory, that they may walk in the good works You have prepared for them (**Ephesians 2:10**). Let them taste and see that You are good, and that true fulfillment is found in You alone.

We ask all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for our dear friend. We've been lifting them up before the Father, asking for strength, motivation, and a renewed purpose. We've been interceding for them to find joy in learning and hard work, to prepare for their interview and future responsibilities. We've also been asking for wisdom for those who care for them, that they might speak truth in love and patience.

We've been reminded of God's Word, "For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." (Philippians 2:13) We trust that God is at work in their life, even in the midst of these challenges.

Let's continue to stand in the gap for them, believing for a breakthrough. Let's also encourage them with love and understanding, reminding them that God is always with them, ready to help and guide.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
