Pray for this

Dexter2020

Good and Faithful Servant
Pls pray for this like it is puzzling but I am still single and kept having vision of ### walking down with me in marriage in the church aisle and a depiction of the dove flying over and during the prayer I sense that Jesus or the holy spirit is bringing someone but have not brought any yet. Moreover it is persistent and scripture and books lead me to marriage. But I am not there yet. Please do not link it to fornication as it is not happening. But why strange things and feelings start to...But whenever this come it is very peaceful... And happy.

We hear your heart and the longing you carry for marriage, a gift from God designed to reflect His love and covenant with His people. The visions and peace you describe—walking down the aisle, the dove, the sense of the Holy Spirit’s leading—are indeed profound. Scripture tells us, *"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says Yahweh, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). The Lord often speaks through dreams, visions, and impressions to guide His children, and we do not dismiss what you are experiencing. However, we must also weigh these things carefully against His Word and the counsel of the Holy Spirit.

First, we want to affirm that your desire for marriage is not wrong. God Himself said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him"* (Genesis 2:18). Marriage is a sacred institution, a picture of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33), and it is right to seek a godly spouse. Yet we must also guard our hearts, for the enemy seeks to distort even good desires. The peace you feel in these moments is a sign of the Spirit’s presence, but we must ask: Are these visions leading you toward patience, trust, and preparation, or are they stirring impatience, frustration, or even emotional dependency on the idea of marriage rather than the Lord Himself?

We notice that you mentioned the name of Jesus only in passing, and we must emphasize that our access to the Father is *only* through Him. *"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me’"* (John 14:6). If these visions and feelings are from God, they will always point you back to Christ, deepen your relationship with Him, and align with His Word. If they become a source of distraction or emotional turmoil, we must test them. *"Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God"* (1 John 4:1). The Holy Spirit will never contradict Scripture, and He will never lead you into confusion or obsession over a future spouse.

We also want to gently address the timing and your current state of singleness. Marriage is a blessing, but it is not the *ultimate* blessing—Christ is. Singleness is not a curse; in fact, the Apostle Paul writes that *"it is good for a man not to touch a woman"* (1 Corinthians 7:1) in the context of undivided devotion to the Lord. This season could be God’s invitation to draw nearer to Him, to serve Him wholeheartedly, and to prepare yourself for the spouse He has for you. Are you using this time to grow in godliness, wisdom, and maturity? Are you actively seeking the Lord’s will in prayer, fasting, and fellowship with other believers? Or are you allowing these visions to consume your thoughts, creating expectations that may not align with God’s timing?

We must also rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or impatience that may be creeping in. You mentioned that *"strange things and feelings start to..."*—this is a red flag. The enemy often twists godly desires into sources of anxiety or false hope. *"For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). If these experiences are leaving you unsettled, confused, or distracted from your daily walk with Christ, we must command those spirits to flee in Jesus’ name. The peace you feel in the moment must be anchored in the *ongoing* peace of Christ, not just fleeting emotions.

Now, let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and have access to You. Lord, we lift up our dear brother/sister to You, knowing that You see the desires of their heart. You have placed within them a longing for marriage, and we ask that You would refine that desire, purify it, and align it with Your perfect will.

Father, we thank You for the visions and impressions You have given. We ask that You would confirm them according to Your Word and Your timing. If these are truly from You, Lord, then we pray that You would bring clarity, patience, and peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart from deception, from the enemy’s lies, and from any spirit that would seek to distort Your truth. Help them to test every spirit and to hold fast to what is good.

Lord, if this is a season of preparation, we ask that You would use it powerfully. Teach them to delight in You, to find their ultimate satisfaction in Christ alone. Prepare them for the spouse You have for them, if that is Your will. Grow them in wisdom, maturity, and godliness. Surround them with godly counsel, with brothers and sisters in Christ who can speak truth into their life and hold them accountable.

Father, we also pray against any spirit of impatience, frustration, or emotional dependency on the idea of marriage. Remind them that their worth is found in You alone, not in their marital status. Help them to trust in Your timing, knowing that *"those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31).

Lord, if there is any area of their life that is not fully surrendered to You—any sin, any idolatry of marriage, any unforgiveness or bitterness—we ask that You would reveal it and bring healing. Create in them a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within them.

We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper, and we rebuke every spirit of confusion, fear, or false hope in Jesus’ name. We speak peace over their mind, their emotions, and their spirit. We declare that they will walk in the fullness of Your purpose for them, whether that includes marriage or a life of undivided devotion to You.

Father, we ask that You would bring the right spouse into their life at the right time, if that is Your will. Prepare them both, Lord, and let their union be a testimony to Your glory, a reflection of Christ and the Church. Until then, help them to live fully for You, to serve You with joy, and to trust You with every detail of their life.

We pray all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, Savior, and soon-coming King. Amen.

Beloved, we encourage you to press into the Lord during this season. Seek Him with all your heart, not just for the gift of marriage, but for *Him*—the Giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17). Spend time in His Word, in prayer, and in worship. Surround yourself with godly community that can speak truth into your life and help you discern the Spirit’s leading. If these visions persist, share them with trusted, mature believers who can help you weigh them against Scripture.

Remember, the Lord’s timing is perfect. *"The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him"* (Lamentations 3:25). Do not grow weary in waiting, but let this season be one of growth, intimacy with Christ, and preparation for whatever He has next. Whether that is marriage or a life of singleness, He will equip you for it. Trust in Him, lean not on your own understanding, and in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Finally, we want to leave you with this: *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). When your delight is in Him, your desires will align with His, and He will fulfill them in His way and His time. Keep your eyes on Jesus, the Author and Perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for the privilege of standing with you in prayer these past days. It has been our joy to lift your heart before the Lord, asking Him to confirm His will and timing in this deeply personal journey. Your openness about the visions, the peace, and the persistent sense that He is leading you toward marriage has touched us, and we have prayed that He would make every step clear—whether that means preparing your heart for what is to come or granting patience and trust as you wait.

If in these days the Lord has brought confirmation, answered in ways seen or unseen, or given you fresh assurance of His faithfulness, we would love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His goodness.

If the answer still feels distant, or if new questions or longings have arisen, we invite you to post this request again. We are here to continue praying, believing with you that the One who placed those visions in your spirit is faithful to complete what He has begun. Let us keep seeking Him together, trusting that every peaceful moment is a whisper of His nearness and every promise in Scripture is a foundation for hope.

May the Lord bless you with wisdom, peace, and the quiet confidence that comes from walking closely with Him. We pray that as you seek Him through Jesus Christ, He will reveal His perfect plan for your life in ways that bring joy, purpose, and fulfillment. In Jesus’ Name, we pray. Amen.
