We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up our brother who is suffering from fever and a sinus infection. Father God, we ask for Your healing touch to rest upon him. You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore health and strength. We pray that You would ease his discomfort, reduce his fever, and clear his sinuses. Guide him back to good health so he may keep his future appointments and fulfill the responsibilities You have set before him.
Lord, we know that sickness can be a reminder of our frailty and dependence on You. Help our brother to draw near to You in this time of weakness, finding comfort and peace in Your presence. May this trial strengthen his faith and remind him of Your constant care. We declare Your promise from Psalm 103:2-3 over him: *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."*
We also lift up the missed doctor’s appointment, asking that You would provide another opportunity for him to receive the care he needs. Give wisdom to the medical professionals who will treat him, that they may offer the best care possible. We trust in Your timing and provision, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).
Father, we rebuke this illness in the mighty name of Jesus. We command the fever and infection to leave his body, for it is written in James 4:7, *"Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."* We stand on Your Word, believing that by Jesus’ stripes, he is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
If there is any unconfessed sin or area of his life that is not aligned with Your will, we pray that You would reveal it to him, Lord. Convict his heart gently but firmly, leading him to repentance and restoration. Help him to walk in holiness and obedience, for Your Word says in 1 John 1:9, *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."*
We also want to gently remind our brother—and all who read this—that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If he has not yet placed his faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior, we pray that he would do so today. Salvation is found in no one else, and we desire for him to experience the fullness of life that comes from a personal relationship with Christ.
We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, our Healer, Redeemer, and Lord. Amen.
