Pray for the scammer

Good and Faithful Servant
Pray for the scammer to stop scamming people and go and find work to get money la. Instead of scamming people money by using techniques of the ATM to do copy other people number and do unauthorized transactions and I was the victim of this scam, this does not feel good although there was no monetary losses but it is still no right.

We hear your pain and frustration, and we stand with you in this difficult situation. What this scammer has done is not only illegal but also deeply sinful, as it violates the commandment to love our neighbors and treat others with honesty and integrity. Scripture is clear that theft, deceit, and exploitation are abhorrent to God:

"You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor." (Exodus 20:15-16 WEB)

"Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need." (Ephesians 4:28 WEB)

We must also address the spiritual condition of this scammer. Their actions reveal a heart that is far from God, one that values greed and dishonesty over righteousness. But we know that God’s desire is for all to come to repentance and find true life in Him. Without faith in Jesus Christ, this person remains lost in their sin, separated from God’s grace and mercy. There is no salvation apart from Jesus, and no amount of good works can earn forgiveness, only through repentance and faith in Him can anyone be saved.

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB)

"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23 WEB)

We rebuke the spirit of deception and greed that drives this scammer’s actions. We declare in the name of Jesus that their schemes will be exposed, their hands will be stopped, and their hearts will be convicted. We pray that the Holy Spirit would bring them to a place of deep remorse, leading them to turn away from their sin and seek God’s forgiveness.

Father God, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this scammer to Your throne of grace. We ask that You would intervene in their life in a powerful way. Break the chains of greed and deceit that bind them, Lord. Open their eyes to the destruction they are causing, not only to others but to their own soul. Let them see the emptiness of their ways and the eternal consequences of their sin.

We pray for conviction to fall upon them, Holy Spirit. Soften their heart to receive Your truth. Lead them to repentance, Lord, and to a genuine turning away from their wickedness. May they seek You with all their heart, surrendering their life to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Provide them with godly influences, people who will speak truth into their life and show them the love of Christ.

Father, we also pray for justice in this situation. Expose their actions, Lord, and bring them to accountability. Let Your righteousness prevail, and may they face the consequences of their choices in a way that leads them to true transformation. At the same time, we ask that You would restore what has been broken. Heal the fear, distrust, and violation that this scam has caused in the lives of those affected, including our brother/sister who submitted this request.

We declare that no weapon formed against Your people will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on Your promise that You will repay those who do evil according to their deeds (Romans 12:19), but we also trust in Your mercy to save and redeem even the worst of sinners. May this scammer one day become a testimony of Your grace, turning from their ways to walk in righteousness.

Lord, we also pray for wisdom and protection for all who may be vulnerable to such scams. Give them discernment to recognize deceit and the courage to report it. Strengthen the hands of law enforcement and authorities to bring an end to these schemes. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this situation, Lord.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray and declare these things. Amen.

To the one who submitted this request, we want to encourage you with the truth that God sees your pain and is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). What was done to you was wrong, and it is right to feel anger and hurt over injustice. But do not let bitterness take root in your heart. Instead, release this situation to God, trusting that He will bring justice in His perfect timing.

Consider reporting this scam to the proper authorities, not only to protect yourself but others who may fall victim. And remember, your ultimate security is not in money or possessions, but in Christ. He is your provider, your protector, and your defender. Rest in Him, and allow His peace to guard your heart and mind (Philippians 4:7).

If you have not already, we also encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is the only one who can truly heal your heart and give you eternal security. If you would like to know more about what it means to follow Him, we would be honored to share the good news of the Gospel with you.

It’s unsettling when someone invades your life like that, even if they never got a cent. You were careful or protected in some way, and we’re grateful no money was lost, but the weight of being targeted, the sense that someone found a way to reach toward you unfairly, that leaves a real ache. We understand why you’d say it doesn’t feel good and isn’t right. It isn’t.

When the offense sits more in the audacity of the act than in a measurable loss, there’s a particular kind of frustration that can sneak in and stay. You’ve asked us to pray for the scammer to stop and find honest work, and we will. That’s a remarkable thing to lead with, honestly. While we lift that person’s change of heart to God, we also want to gently hold space for the part of you that’s still rattled, the part that just needs to be heard and to have the whole thing named for what it was without minimizing it.

One thing that sometimes helps in the days after a non-monetary con is to actively close the mental loop it opened. You could take five quiet minutes to tell God plainly, “What they did was wrong, and I lay that straight on its own charge, not to carry bitterness, but to hand the whole affair over and leave the weight with You.” Then consciously step away from replaying the scam in your mind. It’s not denial; it’s refusing to let someone’s bad choice rent more space than it deserves. From there, the prayer for the scammer to find legitimate work becomes freer, less tangled.

We’ll join you in that now:

Lord Jesus, we lift this person who was scammed. Thank You that their finances were shielded; now shield their heart and mind from the lingering sting of being wronged. We ask You to unsettle the scammer thoroughly, turn their conscience until they despise what they’ve done, cut off any crooked scheme, and lead them to honest, decent work. Give our friend Your steady peace as they release this to You. In Your name we pray, amen.

The sin you describe, this cunning thievery by copying numbers and making unauthorized transactions, is an abomination in the sight of the Lord. Sin, like a great rogue, has many aliases; sometimes it is transgression, passing over the line of right. It is not right, as you say, and the pang of violation you feel, though no money was lost, is a natural wound that seeks healing from the hand of the great Physician. But let us turn our gaze beyond the mere crime to the criminal. There is a repentance that is of the flesh, a carnal sorrow produced by fear of judgment or loss, which is short-lived and sends a man back to his sin with greater gusto, like one who abstains to sharpen appetite. We must pray not merely that this man stops his hand, but that the Holy Spirit works a repentance after a godly sort, a loathing of sin itself because it is poison to his soul. For there is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared.

If this man is only burdened by the inconvenience of his wickedness, his repentance is shallow and God is not mocked. We must be humbled in the dust and made to look for all in Christ. You who have been wronged are called to a hard and glorious work: to pray that this deceiver might truly feel the weight of his transgression, not as a career inconvenience, but as rebellion against a holy God. Remember, judgment may produce a carnal repentance, but what is needed is that holy, healthy, heavenly sort worked by the renewed heart. His hands are busy with theft, but his deeper malady is a heart that is far from God, loving dishonest gain. Pray that God would break that heart, for the Lord heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. This man needs not just a new job, but a new nature, and that comes only through the forgiveness of sins by the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

It is proper that you bring this burden here. Seek Christ for yourself also in this matter, for He is not an object for seeking as some hidden, distant thing; He is set forth plainly as a propitiation for sin. Do not let the root of bitterness spring up within you over this transgression. Your own healing from this injury lies in that same forgiving love. There is forgiveness with Him, and that includes the power for you to forgive the wrong done to your spirit, not because the sin was small, but because Christ is a great Savior. Let your prayer be that this man finds not a false peace, but the true peace which follows first forgiveness, then healing. Urge his soul before the throne, that he may exchange the ill-gotten wage of deceit for the unsearchable riches of Christ, who alone can blot out even such transgressions for His own name’s sake.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You do well to pray for the one who wronged you, even though no money was taken. For the act itself is a theft of trust and a sin that cries out against heaven. Such a cheat does not hunger after righteousness but grasps after dishonest gain. Yet you are called to love even an enemy, and your cry to God for his amendment is a labor of love and a sign of a soul that refuses to be conquered by evil.

But see that your prayer aims not only that he stop his scheming and find honest work. A surface change without a transformed heart is of little use. There is a sorrow that leads to salvation, a godly grief that works repentance without regret. Esau wept and sought a place of repentance yet found none, because his tears flowed from wounded pride and murderous intention, not from a loathing of the sin itself. Peter, when he denied the Lord, went out and wept bitterly, and his sin was forgiven, for he repented as he ought. Pray then that this man be granted that true and piercing sorrow which does not merely regret getting caught or losing gain, but which fears the judgment of God and detests the evil done.

Remind yourself also that honest labor is a high virtue. The Apostles, for all their poverty, mended their nets with their own hands, bearing hardship with patience and bound together by love. That is a blessed state far above the fleeting wealth built on fraud. So pray earnestly that he may discover the dignity of working for his bread, and that he may find his way into the spiritual bath of repentance where the Church washes away stains of soul. Do not despair of his amendment, nor let bitterness fester. Short is this life, and the labor of intercession is never wasted. Be confident, rouse yourself, and continue to plead with the Lord, who desires not the death of a sinner but that he turn from his way and live.

It is right to bring this before the Lord in prayer, both for your own heart and for the one who wronged you. Being violated like that leaves a mark, even when no money is lost. The sense of injustice is real, and God cares about what was done to you.

Pray for the person who scammed you, yes, but pray first that they would truly repent. There is a kind of sorrow that is only about getting caught or losing something, and that kind of sorrow only leads to death. But godly sorrow works a change, a turning away from the sin itself. If that person only feels bad because their schemes might fail, nothing will be different. Their real need is to turn to God with a broken heart over the evil they have done, to receive forgiveness through Jesus Christ, and then to bring forth fruit that matches repentance, like seeking honest work and making restitution where possible.

The greatest miracle any of us can know is not a change in circumstances, but the forgiveness of sins. If that scammer will come to Jesus, He will wash away every act of deception, every theft, every breach of trust. That forgiveness is so complete that God promises to remember those sins no more. It is not like human forgiveness, which often holds on to the offense. When God pardons, He blots it out entirely. That is the hope you can pray toward, not merely that they stop scamming, but that they become a new creation in Christ.

As you bring this before the Lord, also ask Him to heal the wound left in you. The Lord is concerned with the scars carried in the mind and emotions, not only the body. He can bring a divine healing to the anger, the sense of being used, and the unsettled feeling that lingers. I do not understand all the ways He heals, but I have seen Him restore peace where injustice had done its work.

Forgiveness on your part does not mean pretending nothing happened. It means releasing the debt into God's hands, trusting that He is the righteous judge. The same mercy you hope the scammer would find is the mercy you yourself have received. Let that mercy soften your prayers. And remember that the one who hurt you may yet become a trophy of grace. Peter denied his Lord with curses, and yet he was fully restored and used mightily. No one is beyond the reach of repentance and the cleansing that flows from the cross.

Prayer to ask Jesus to expose if ### is a scammer because it is the first time that we met and he is asking me to set up company while I am looking for a job and it seemed quite fishy. I will like to know if he can be trusted before I really commit to this.
