We hear your pain and frustration over this terrible injustice, and we stand with you in seeking justice and restoration. The Bible tells us in Romans 13:3-4, "For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same, for he is a servant of God to you for good. But if you do that which is evil, be afraid, for he doesn’t bear the sword in vain; for he is a servant of God, an avenger for wrath to him who does evil." The authorities are established by God to bring justice to those who do wrong, and we pray they will act swiftly in this case.
We also lift up the scammer before the Lord, not in anger, but with a heart that desires repentance. Scripture warns in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom." This person has committed theft and deception, and without repentance, they face eternal consequences. But we know that God is merciful, and we pray that this individual would come to know Christ, turn from their sin, and make restitution for what they have stolen.
We must also address the importance of bringing this matter before God in the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Jesus Christ for salvation, for He is the only one who can truly restore what has been lost, both in this life and the next. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. We lift up this situation to You, Lord, and ask for Your justice to prevail. We pray that the authorities would act swiftly and that this scammer would be caught and held accountable for their actions. We ask, Father, that You would soften this individual’s heart, that they would come to know You, repent of their sins, and make restitution for what they have stolen.
Lord, we also ask for Your restoration in this person’s life. You are the God who sees and knows all things, and we trust that You will work all things together for good according to Your purpose. We pray for financial restoration, peace, and healing from the trauma this scam has caused. Help them to trust in You, Lord, and to lean not on their own understanding, but to acknowledge You in all their ways, as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches.
We rebuke the spirit of deception and theft in the name of Jesus, and we declare that no weapon formed against this individual shall prosper, according to Isaiah 54:17. We pray for wisdom and discernment moving forward, that they would be protected from further harm.
Father, we also pray for the salvation of this scammer. May they come to know the love and grace of Jesus Christ, turn from their wicked ways, and seek forgiveness. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord, even in the midst of this difficult situation. Psalm 37:25-26 reminds us, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread. All day long he deals graciously, and lends. His offspring is blessed." God sees your struggle, and He will not abandon you. Keep your eyes on Him, and seek His guidance in all things. If you have not already, consider reaching out to your local church or a trusted Christian counselor for support and prayer as you walk through this trial.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name please bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding. Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.
