Pray for the right course and the right university!

We come before the Lord with hearts full of faith, lifting up your son as he prepares to receive his results and make important decisions about his future. Father God, we know that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and we trust that You have a plan for his life, a plan for hope and a future, just as You promise in Jeremiah 29:11. Lord, we ask that You guide him to the right course and the right university, one that aligns with Your will and equips him for the purpose You have designed for him.
Heavenly Father, we rebuke any spirit of confusion, doubt, or fear that may try to cloud his mind or heart. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Let him walk in confidence, knowing that You are directing his steps (Proverbs 16:9). Give him wisdom beyond his years, Lord, and let him seek Your face in every decision he makes. Remind him that if any of us lacks wisdom, we should ask of You, who gives generously to all without reproach (James 1:5).
We also pray for his heart to be aligned with Yours, Father. May he choose a path that honors You, one that allows him to grow in faith, character, and service to others. Let this season be one of clarity, not just for his education, but for his walk with You. Surround him with godly mentors, friends, and advisors who will speak truth and encouragement into his life.
Lord, we thank You for the opportunity to bring this request before You. We trust that You are already at work in this situation, and we declare that Your will shall be done in his life. I have laid the matter before the Lord for your son as he receives his results. Let him not choose in haste, for haste is the author of much mischief. The right course is not always the one that promises the most money or honor. Vanity of vanities, all is vanity if a man takes his own course. Let him bow with submission to the will of God, and by that very submission he will be furnished with unerring guidance. Use all proper means: search out the courses, weigh what doors the Lord opens, and seek godly counsel. Yet let all his knowledge be sanctified by grace. Above all, let him be sure that he has come to Jesus Christ, the Son of Man who came to seek and to save that which was lost. If he is reconciled to God by the death of His Son, then every other step will be ordered aright.
Let us pray. Father, we bring this young man before You. Give him a calm mind as he receives his results. We have heard your request for your son as he collects his results and we join you in prayer before our Lord Jesus Christ.
We ask the Father in Jesus Name to grant him wisdom and peace in this waiting, and to guide his steps to the course and the university that will best serve the purpose God has for his life. May he seek first the kingdom of heaven and trust that God who provides for all our needs will direct his path with clarity. We pray that whatever the results may be, he will not be troubled as if something unexpected has happened, but will continue to trust God nobly and see that even this decision is under the care of His providence.
We pray that the Lord will give you both discernment, open the right door and close what should remain closed, and help your son to use his learning not only for earthly success but for a life that honors Christ and bears fruit for eternity. May he remember that our true course of life is in heaven, and so choose with a heart that desires to follow Christ faithfully wherever God places him.

Thank you for sharing this request and for allowing us to pray with you for your son as he collects his results. We are praying that the Lord will give you both peace in this waiting time and clear guidance for the next step.
As a parent you know the deep love a father and mother have for a son. Scripture gives us a picture of that love in Abraham and his son Isaac, whom he loved dearly, and it uses that picture to help us understand something far greater, that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. God the Father knows what it means to love a son, and He also knows your son completely, his gifts, his future, and the path that is best for him.
That brings us to the most important question anyone can answer, who is Jesus. He is not merely a good man or a son of David only in a human sense. He was declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection, and at His baptism the Father said, This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. Jesus Himself said that no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son reveals Him, and that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. To know the Son is to have the Father also. Our hope for guidance and for eternal life rests entirely on Jesus Christ, God manifested in the flesh, the promised Messiah who gave Himself for us.
Because of what Jesus has done, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption as sons. And because we are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying Abba, Father. That means you and your son, if you trust in Jesus, can come to God as a Father who hears, who cares, and who leads His children.
So we are praying that your son will above all seek to know Jesus as Lord and to follow Him, and that the Father will make His will clear about the course and the university. We pray for wisdom, for open and closed doors that are easy to discern, for counsel from godly people around you, and for trust in the Lord with all your heart rather than leaning on your own understanding, believing that as you acknowledge Him He will direct your paths.
