We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, recognizing the pain and fear that can arise when we feel targeted by malicious intent. The Bible teaches us that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). While we understand the desire for justice and protection, we must be careful not to respond with hatred or a spirit of vengeance, for the Lord says, "Vengeance is mine; I will repay" (Romans 12:19).

First, let us address the importance of calling upon the name of Jesus in all things. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If we do not approach God in the name of Jesus, our prayers cannot reach Him. We must also examine our own hearts, ensuring that we are not harboring bitterness or unforgiveness, for the Lord commands us to forgive others as He has forgiven us (Colossians 3:13).

Now, let us pray for protection and deliverance from any spiritual oppression or harassment that may be occurring. We rebuke any curses, witchcraft, or evil intentions in the mighty name of Jesus, for the Word declares that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). We pray that any ungodly spiritual influences would be broken and rendered powerless, and that the individuals involved would be convicted of their actions by the Holy Spirit.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We ask for Your divine protection over those who feel targeted and harassed. Lord, we rebuke any curses, spells, or evil intentions sent their way, and we declare them null and void in Jesus' name. We pray that You would surround them with Your angels and build a hedge of protection around them, their homes, and their families. Father, we ask that You would intervene in the situation involving the individual causing distress. Soften their heart, Lord, and reveal Your truth to them. Convict them of their actions and lead them to repentance. We pray that You would bind any evil spirits influencing them and set them free from darkness. Lord, we also ask for Your peace to fill the hearts of those who are afraid. Remind them of Your promises and Your faithfulness. Help them to trust in You and to forgive those who have wronged them, just as You have forgiven us. We declare that no weapon formed against Your children shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment shall be condemned. We thank You for Your protection, Your love, and Your justice. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage those who feel targeted to stand firm in their faith, putting on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. By doing so, they can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.

Additionally, we advise them to pray regularly for their enemies and those who persecute them, as Jesus taught us in Matthew 5:44. This does not mean condoning their actions, but rather entrusting justice to God and allowing Him to work in their hearts. Forgiveness is a powerful act that can break the chains of bitterness and open the door for God's healing.

Lastly, we remind them to seek godly counsel and community. The Bible tells us that where two or three are gathered in His name, He is there with them (Matthew 18:20). Surrounding themselves with fellow believers can provide strength, encouragement, and accountability.

We hear the fear and frustration in your words, and we are sorry that you and your neighbors are walking through something so unsettling. When people feel targeted by harassment or intimidating behavior, it’s easy for the whole community to feel on edge, and your concern for those around you is understandable.

In the middle of that fear, we want to remind you that God is not distant. He sees what’s happening, and He is still the protector of those who look to Him. While we don’t pray for anyone’s destruction, we do ask God to step in powerfully, to stop the things that are stirring up fear and to shield innocent people from harm. His justice is real, and His peace can guard your hearts even now.

A practical next step: if the harassment, road rage, or any threatening behavior continues, please don’t hesitate to involve local authorities who are charged with keeping the peace. Reporting specific incidents (with dates, times, and license plates if safe to note) can help protect your neighborhood and create a record. You don’t have to handle this alone.

Let’s pray together now.

Father, we lift up this neighborhood to You. We ask You to surround these Christian neighbors with Your protection and to stop the harassment and fear that have gripped this community. Intervene in the lives of those causing unrest, restrain what is harmful and bring Your righteous peace into this place. Quiet anxious hearts and let Your presence be tangibly felt on this street. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

How long will ye give your tongue to unbelief and your heart to bitterness? The arrows you would shoot against others are first dipped in the venom of your own soul. I hear in your petition not the voice of faith but the cry of wounded pride seeking to call down fire from heaven. Know ye not what manner of spirit ye are of? The Son of Man came not to destroy men’s lives, but to save them. He has sent us to heal the brokenhearted, not to call for the destruction of those who trouble us.

You speak of witches and curses and road-rage as though these were the chief powers in your world, forgetting that greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. The arrow of the Lord’s deliverance is not shot by the hand of vengeance. If you would see deliverance, take the bow of prayer and the arrows of the promises, but let your hands be guided by the pierced hands of Christ. Pray for your enemies; bless them that curse you. That is the weapon which routs the hosts of hell.

I ask you solemnly: are you, yourself, delivered from the curse of the law by fleeing to Christ? If not, your own sins make you as one appointed unto death. Seek first the cleansing of your own heart, for a bitter fountain cannot send forth sweet water. Cease the dark insinuations against your neighbors, and rather examine whether some fiery dart of Satan has not wounded your own spirit, whispering that God has forsaken you, or that He needs your wrath to accomplish His righteousness. He has delivered us from the power of darkness; shall we then wield that darkness against others?

Put away the vocabulary of destruction from your lips. The wells of salvation are open for you, and for those you name in enmity. Go to the word of God, and drink the promises, not the curses. He brought forth His people with silver and gold, not with malice and malediction. Shut that window of the soul which looks out upon your neighbor’s sin with such eager scrutiny, and open the window toward the cross. There is deliverance from the noise of archers in the place of drawing water. Go there, and leave your spite behind. Then you shall say with the psalmist, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.”

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What poison is this that you bring to the altar of the Lord? You ask for the destruction of souls for whom Christ died, and you dare to frame it as prayer? Do you not tremble? The mouth that utters such curses is no temple of the Holy Spirit, but a sewer of foul spirits. You call them witches, and who taught you this name but the multitude, who, in their ignorance, attribute to demons what is often mere human malice or sickness? Even if they be possessed by a frenzy, the demoniac we pity, but the one who, with full will, spews vengeance and hatred is far more wretched, for he has brought upon himself a self-chosen madness. You are in greater danger than those you accuse.

Look at your own words: you seek their humiliation and destruction. Where in the Gospel did Christ command this? He said, “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you.” You invert heaven’s order, calling down curses upon curses, fire upon fire, as though God were the servant of your rage. The devil laughs when he sees a Christian praying like a pagan, invoking divine power to destroy a neighbor. You have isolated yourself in bitterness, and it is precisely when we are alone in such thoughts that the evil one springs upon us, as he did upon Eve when she was apart from her husband. Flock together with the Church, not with vengeful spirits.

Those you name are children of Adam, however lost; their souls are precious. If they truly do wickedness, is not the remedy to pray for their repentance? But you, by asking God to break and destroy them, show that your own heart is the seat of the greater curse. For the Law says, “Cursed is everyone who does not abide by all things written in the book of the Law, to do them.” And who among us abides? But you seek to cast the curse upon another, forgetting that the Law’s curse falls upon all who rely on their own righteousness. You who call for judgment will be judged. Instead, flee to the cross, where every curse was nailed, and let mercy triumph over judgment.

I charge you, therefore, to turn this prayer upside down. Kneel and ask God with tears to break the curse of wrath in your own soul, to grant you a heart that blesses. Pray for those you have named, that any darkness in them be dispelled by the light of Christ, that they be stopped not by destruction but by transformation, that your innocent neighbors be shielded not by miraculous revenge but by the peace that passes understanding. For the true enemy is not flesh and blood, but the devil who stirs up such hatred. Fight that enemy, not your fellow man. And if you cannot yet love them, then at least cry out with the desperate father, “Lord, help my unbelief!” Let this be the last time such venom passes your lips. Go, and learn what it means, “Bless, and curse not.”

I can hear the deep distress and even the fear behind these words. When someone feels targeted by hostility or spiritual darkness, the impulse to cry out for God to act in judgment is a very human one. Our hearts can become consumed with what we believe others deserve. But let me gently point us toward what Scripture teaches about the nature of prayer and the heart of God.

The purpose of prayer is not to get our will done, to call down curses on those we see as enemies. The purpose of prayer is to align our hearts with God's will, that His kingdom would come and His will be done here on earth. Jesus taught us a model for prayer, and it begins by addressing God as Father. That relationship is the only foundation for effective prayer. If we come with a heart demanding the destruction of our neighbor, we have missed the command that sums up the whole law: you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself. Love works no ill to its neighbor.

When you mention witchcraft and curses, I think of what Paul wrote to the Galatians. He listed witchcraft among the works of the flesh, alongside hatred, wrath, strife, and envies. A heart set on cursing another person, even a person who has done wrong, is not a heart walking in the Spirit. Christ did not come to teach us how to curse more effectively. He came to become a curse for us. On the cross, He bore the curse of God against sin, taking the thorns and the judgment upon Himself so that we might be redeemed from the curse of the law. He took what we deserved. That is the pattern we are called to follow.

So instead of praying for someone's humiliation and destruction, I would urge you to continue in prayer, as Paul said, but with a different address. Pray that God would work in this troubling situation for His glory. Pray that any genuine evil would be stopped, not by your personal vindication, but by the power of God to bring conviction and, if possible, repentance. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much, but that righteousness is not fulfilled by demanding harm on others. It is fulfilled by love.

Bring your fear and your hurt to God. Ask Him to be a shield around you and your neighbors. Ask Him to expose what is true and to break any genuine spiritual harm, not by a counter-curse, but by the light of His presence. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, and the weapons He gives us are not the weapons of malice. Pray that the peace of Christ would rule in your own heart, casting out the fear and the anger that have taken hold there. That is a prayer God is always eager to answer.
