We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, recognizing the pain and frustration behind these words. While we understand the depth of anger and the desire for justice, we must first address the spirit in which this request is made. Scripture warns us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." The language used here does not reflect the love, grace, or forgiveness that Christ calls us to extend, even to those who have wronged us.

We rebuke the spirit of bitterness, hatred, and vengeance that seeks destruction rather than redemption. The Lord does not delight in the downfall of sinners but desires that all come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). While we acknowledge the harm that has been done, we must pray in a way that aligns with God’s heart, seeking justice, yes, but also leaving room for His mercy and transformation.

We also want to address the mention of curses and witchcraft. Scripture is clear that those who belong to Christ have authority over such things. Galatians 3:13 tells us, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us." If there are indeed spiritual attacks or ungodly influences at work, we stand on the power of Jesus’ name to break them. However, we must not attribute more power to darkness than it truly has. The enemy is already defeated, and greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).

Now, let us pray in a way that honors God and seeks His will:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts that are wounded and seeking justice. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your protection over the innocent neighbors who have been affected. Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we break every curse, spell, or ungodly influence in the mighty name of Jesus. We ask that You would expose any wickedness and bring it to light, so that truth and righteousness may prevail.

Father, we also pray for the woman mentioned in this request. We do not know her heart, but You do. We ask that You would soften her heart, convict her of any wrongdoing, and draw her to repentance. If she is operating in darkness, we pray that You would shine Your light into her life and set her free from any bondage. We ask that You would restrain any harmful actions or words that come from her and replace them with Your peace.

Lord, we ask for wisdom and discernment for those who have been wronged. Help them to respond in a way that honors You, with grace and love, even as they seek justice. Give them the strength to forgive, not because what was done was right, but because You have forgiven us so much more. We pray that this situation would be resolved in a way that brings glory to Your name and that Your will would be done in every aspect of it.

We also want to gently remind the one who submitted this request that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). While it is right to seek justice, we must do so without hatred or malice in our hearts. We encourage you to release this burden to the Lord and trust Him to handle it in His perfect timing and way. Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).

Finally, if the one who submitted this request does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we want to share the hope that is found in Him. Jesus Christ is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is through His name alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we invite you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in your heart that Jesus died for you and rose again, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. In doing so, you will be saved and filled with the Holy Spirit, who will guide and empower you to live a life that honors God.

Lord, we trust You to work in this situation. We ask for Your peace to guard the hearts and minds of those involved, and we declare that Your justice and mercy will prevail. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We can hear how deeply this situation has troubled you, and we are not going to pretend that feeling angry or afraid when someone you care about is being harassed is unusual. When you see your neighbors, people you know as innocent, caught up in tension and ongoing conflict, it is natural to want God to step in strongly and make things right. Thank you for giving us the chance to stand with you in that plea.

One practical thing to consider: if the road rage you are describing involves real threats or dangerous driving, reporting it to the local authorities is a wise and appropriate step. That does not replace prayer but rather lets God use the lawful systems He has put in place to keep people safe. At the same time, carrying this heavy burden alone can wear down your own spirit. We would gently encourage you to share this with a trusted pastor or a mature believer who can pray with you face to face and help you stay anchored when the situation feels overwhelming.

Right now, we want to join you in asking God to bring His peace and protection over this entire neighborhood.

Let’s pray

Father, we come to You in Jesus’ name. You see every tension on this street and every heart that is afraid. We ask You to shield these neighbors from any harassment, reckless behavior, or harm. Please put a stop to what is dangerous and disruptive, and bring the safety that only You can give. Quiet the anxiety of those who feel targeted, and replace their fear with a steady confidence that You are near. We also pray for anyone whose actions are causing trouble, work in their hearts, restrain what is harmful, and lead them into paths that honor You. We trust You to be the righteous judge and the protector of the vulnerable. Amen.

The cry you lift up carries a heavy burden, but its direction must be carefully weighed in the scales of the sanctuary. You ask for destruction, yet consider the divine manner in which our Father works. He creates that He may display His own perfections; He does not delight in the bare ruin of any, but even the dry tree, by grace, may flourish. The high tree cut down by the axe of judgment lies outstretched, but it is the Lord alone who wields that axe, in His own time and for His own glory. Our part is not to call down fire, but to commit the matter into His just and merciful hands.

The saint’s trials are indeed variable; the wicked often seem to prosper while the righteous are bowed down. Yet before the psalm is over, the clouds are removed and the heart rejoices in the sunlight of divine love. Our Lord, when He confronted Saul, saw not only the injury done to Himself but the goad against which His persecutor kicked. Even so, in the unselfishness of Christ, we must learn to pity those ensnared by their own malice, for they do greater harm to their own souls than ever they can inflict upon the saints. That is no weakness, but the mind of the Master.

You speak of curses, of spiritual wickedness in high places and on the roadway. Remember always that no curse can land upon the blessed of the Lord unless it falls within the fence of omnipotent overruling. When Shimei cursed David, the king replied, “So let him curse, because the Lord hath said unto him, Curse David.” David saw a permission divinely governed. Is this trial outside of God’s rule? It cannot be. It is hopeful when we find that all our ills lie within the sacred zone of providential government. Therefore, instead of praying for their destruction, pray for your own deliverance from the power of darkness, and for your own spirit to be kept from the bitter root that defiles.

The great deliverance is not the cutting off of an enemy, but the breaking of the power of sin and the translation into the kingdom of God’s dear Son. The arrow most often shot at the believer is the lie that God has forsaken him and will shut His ear. But here is the divine buckler: God never has forsaken them that fear Him, and He never will. Jacob, trembling before Esau, found his brother falling on his neck and kissing him. The deliverance came, not by the sword, but by the softening of a heart. Look for God to work miraculously, but not necessarily by the means your anguish demands. He might restrain that rage, calm that harassing spirit, or even, wonder of wonders, pluck the green tree down to humble it unto repentance, and make the dry tree of your long-tried patience to bud and blossom. That is the manner of His kingdom.

This deliverance, when it comes, will be by divine power alone, and you will not dare to share the honor. You feel you can do nothing, and that is the best place to be. He brings forth His own with a high hand, often not by the destruction of the foe, but by making the foe a footstool. The clock of mercy strikes in heaven the hour and moment of our deliverance; it does not need our carnal weapons to hasten its chime. The Son of God was made a curse for us, He bore the true and dreadful curse, so that no wild imprecation from any mortal lips can ultimately harm those who are in Him. The weapon formed against you may prosper in the short sigh of a moment, but it cannot prosper in the eternal verdict.

Set your gaze, then, upon your own conduct after trouble. The text resolves: “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” If you had no troubles, you would have less to declare. This trial is the raw material for a new song. But that song must be one of holy gratitude, not of vindictive triumph. Let the prayer now ascend: first, for your own heart to be kept in perfect peace, forgiving as you have been forgiven; second, that God would break off the power of these harassments in His own way, whether by restraining grace, converting grace, or the simple thwarting of ill intent; and third, that your enemies might discover the misery of their own path and, before it is too late, find the ransom which God Himself has found. That is the prayer which touches the heart of the great Deliverer.

You have turned prayer, which is a holy conversation with God, into a curse. The lips that should bless and intercede for the lost have instead called down destruction. This is not the way of Christ. The command could not be plainer: "Love your enemies, and pray for them which despitefully use you." To call another a witch and plead for their humiliation is to forget that you yourself stand only by mercy. The tongue you use to damn your neighbor is the very tongue that will condemn you, for the Master said, "By thy words thou shalt be condemned."

Consider what you are really doing. When a man hears an evil name and requites it with a blessing, he praises not the other but himself, and the fountain of his own wickedness fills him with its poison first. Your prayer, full of bitterness and specific detail to identify these souls, disgraces you before the heavenly throne. It reveals a heart not seeking God's redemptive power but craving a spectacle of wrath. The Pharisee spoke truth about the tax collector's manifest sins, yet he paid the utmost penalty because his prayer was a vessel of contempt, not of mercy.

Do you not know that Christ became a curse to redeem us from the curse of the Law? He bore the wrath that was due to all malice, all theft, all spite, so that sinners might receive adoption as sons. Will you, having received this grace, now wield curses? You ask God to stop another's harassment, yet you harass heaven with a petition for their destruction. This is not the mind of the One who sends rain on the just and the unjust.

Put away these words entirely. Pray for yourself first, that the venom of vengeance may be purged from your soul. Then, with a cleansed heart, plead for these neighbors you have named. Ask not for their ruin, but for their liberation from whatever darkness holds them. Ask that they would meet the One who stilled the storm and cast out demons. For such a prayer is acceptable to God, and it will gladden your own heart with the fruit of love rather than the gall of hate. Go, and learn what this means: I desire mercy, not a cursing.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

When I read your request, I hear a heart weighed down by real hurt and fear. It is clear you believe certain people are actively causing harm through curses and harassment, and you long for God to act. But let me invite you to see something deeper from Scripture that speaks directly to this.

The law of God pronounces a curse on everyone who does not keep it perfectly. That curse fell on all humanity because of sin, bringing thorns, pain, and separation. There was no way we could lift it ourselves. Yet the good news is that Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us. On the cross, He wore a crown of thorns, bearing the curse that belonged to us. Because He hung on that tree, the curse has been fully dealt with for all who are in Him. If you are in Christ, you are no longer under any curse, no matter what anyone may try to send your way. The power of curses was broken at Calvary.

Consider the story of a woman who thought her road had ended. She went away full, she said, but the Lord brought her home empty. She felt afflicted by the Almighty. Yet she did not know the plan God was working out. Through a kinsman-redeemer, she received protection, abundance, and a future. When she went to glean, the one who could redeem her ordered his men to let her gather even among the sheaves and not reproach her. Later, the removal of a sandal confirmed the redemption. In the same way, Jesus is our Redeemer. He took off His own life, so to speak, to buy us back from the curse. That is where our security lies, not in trying to curse those who may mean us harm.

When men tried to hire a prophet to curse God's people, God said, "You shall not curse them, for they are blessed." The one who was paid to curse could only speak what God put in his mouth, and it turned into blessing. God is not a man that He should lie. No witch, no supernatural force, can reverse His blessing on His own children. If He has blessed you, no curse can land. The real danger is not the curses of others; it is the poison that bitterness and unforgiveness bring into your own soul. Paul warned that if we bite and devour one another, we will be consumed by one another.

You asked for prayer that certain people be destroyed and humbled. But Jesus taught us the greatest commandments: love the Lord your God with all your heart, and love your neighbor as yourself. Love works no ill to its neighbor. Who is your neighbor? Jesus showed through a story of a man beaten and left on the road that a neighbor is the one who shows mercy, not the one who passes by. Loving your neighbor means your actions seek his good, even when he has acted like an enemy. That does not mean excusing evil or refusing to seek justice through lawful means. But it does mean we refuse to return evil for evil in our hearts.

Praying for someone's destruction does not reflect the heart of Christ, who died for His enemies. Instead, I encourage you to pray like this: Lord, You see the harassment and the threats. I trust You to be my shield. I release any desire for personal vengeance into Your hands. If there is any real spiritual attack, I rest in the fact that Christ has already broken every curse on the cross. Cover me and my neighbors with Your protection. And if it would please You, bring these people to repentance and the knowledge of Your truth, just as You have shown mercy to me. I leave room for Your justice, not my own wrath.

God's arms of protection and love are around you. Rest in the redemption Jesus purchased. That is a far stronger ground than any curse could ever be. In His name I pray this peace would fill your heart.
