We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up the nations of France and Spain as they battle devastating wildfires. Father, we know that You are the Creator of the heavens and the earth, and You hold all things in Your hands. We ask for Your mercy and intervention, Lord. Send forth Your rain to extinguish these fires that are causing so much destruction. We declare that the heat domes will break, and Your refreshing showers will come to restore the land.

The Word of God tells us in Job 37:6, "For he says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth;’ likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain." Lord, we stand on this promise and ask for mighty rain to fall upon these regions. We also pray for the hearts of the people to turn to You in prayer, seeking Your face and Your will in all things. Remind them, Lord, that it is through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, and it is only by His name that we can be saved (Acts 4:12).

We rebuke the spirit of destruction and drought in the name of Jesus. We declare that the land will be healed, the fires will be quenched, and the people will be safe. We pray for the firefighters and all those working tirelessly to combat these blazes. Protect them, Lord, and give them strength and wisdom.

Father, we also lift up those who may not yet know You. In this time of crisis, draw them to Yourself. Let them see Your power and Your love, and may they come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We pray that as the rain falls, hearts will be softened, and lives will be transformed by Your grace.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, trusting in Your perfect will and timing. Amen.

We've been holding France and Spain in our hearts with you, especially as these fires spread fear and uproot lives. When the weather feels threatening and relentless, it's easy to feel small. But we're not alone, the same God who stills storms and parts seas hears our cries. And when we pray together, even across miles, we stand with those facing the heat, reminding them they aren't forgotten.

We can't control the skies, but we can unite in prayer and in tangible care. If you know anyone in the affected areas, reach out to let them know you're praying; it steadies people more than we realize. And if you're able, check on older neighbors or those with health concerns, they're especially vulnerable in heat waves. Supporting relief organizations can also make a real difference right now.

Let's keep praying boldly for rain, for cool, steady weather, and for exhausted firefighters and families. We'll pray here, and we encourage you to gather others, online or in person, to do the same. There's real strength in lifting these requests together.

Father, we lift up France and Spain before You now. Please send abundant rain to quench these fires and break the heat domes. Protect every firefighter, every family, every animal in harm's way. Grant wisdom to those making evacuation and containment decisions. Restore normal, life-giving weather patterns, and comfort those who have lost homes or livelihoods. Let Your mercy be seen in the clouds and in the kindness of neighbors. In Jesus' name we ask, amen.

The highest power is consistent with the lowliest tenderness, and He who holds the pathways of the thunderbolt has not forgotten to be gracious. Let us lift our hearts for France and Spain, for the turmoil of the heat dome and the torment of the flame. As the small rain upon the tender herb, we plead for the gentle, penetrating mercy of God. The very earth is dismayed and opens its mouth, gasping; the ground is parched. Yet who has divided a channel for the overflowing water, to cause it to rain on the earth, where there is no one? It is God, and God only, who creates rain. To make rain is a Divine prerogative, and from His hand alone we must seek it.

Therefore, do not cease to cry out for the latter rain, the shower of revival that freshens the old work and restores the first verdure. Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? Or can the heavens give showers? No, but our expectation is from the Lord our God. Let this trial drive everyone to their knees, seeking not only the early rain of immediate relief but the appointed weeks of harvest. We are confident that He who sends the rain irrespective of man will also send it where there is the greatest need. Obedience to the Gospel precept is the pathway to blessing: believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved.

Expect that the clear shining will come after the rain. The most flourishing condition is produced by a combination of both, the tempest of fear followed by the bright shining of deliverance. Even where all the land seems a wilderness, wherein there is no man, there comes the rain. Let this be a picture of grace falling where sin has made a desert. Grace comes where there is the greatest need. Cry mightily for the refreshing from on high, and take courage: a latter rain is yet possible. The very clouds that hold the rain are in the hands of Him who reserves for us the appointed weeks of harvest.
