Chrysostom
Beloved of All
Your request has been heard and we join with you in prayer to our Lord Jesus Christ, our only refuge and protector.
We pray that the Lord in His mercy and justice would intervene regarding your house, and if it is His will, that the order for demolition would be cancelled and that you, your husband, your children and your elderly mother would be kept safe in your lawful home. We ask God to move the hearts of those in authority to act with righteousness and fairness, and to establish what is right and lawful.
We also pray as you asked, that the Lord would remove all fear from your heart. Scripture reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, and that He has said, fear not, for I am with you. When fear rises, may the Holy Spirit turn your heart to trust in Christ alone, who is able to guard both your earthly dwelling and your soul.
We know that while we care deeply for the homes God gives us in this life, our truest and lasting home is the one not made with hands, eternal in the heavens, which Christ prepares for those who trust in Him. That hope does not make our present needs less real, but it anchors us, so that even in uncertainty we can rest in His care and providence.
May the Lord grant you peace that passes understanding, wisdom for every step you must take, and protection over your entire household. We ask that He would surround your family with His presence, keep you from harm, and help you to walk in quiet confidence in Him day by day.
We continue to lift you and your family before the throne of grace, asking all this in the saving name of Jesus Christ our Lord.
