We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up our brothers and sisters in ### who seek the Lord’s protection and shalom. First, we must address the name by which we pray—there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved except the name of **Jesus Christ** (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Him, His death on the cross for our sins, and His resurrection that we have access to the Father. If you or those you are praying for have not surrendered your lives to Jesus, we urge you to do so today, for He alone is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).
Now, we stand in agreement with your prayer for protection over these families. The Lord is our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We rebuke every curse, every ungodly spiritual bondage, and every snare of ancestral or cultural practices that do not align with Scripture. The Bible warns us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Therefore, we take authority in the name of Jesus and break every chain of fear, sickness, and danger that seeks to harm these families.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that the Lord will surround them with His angels, commanding them to guard these families in all their ways (Psalm 91:11). We pray against every plague, disease, and spirit of infirmity, for Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our pains (Isaiah 53:4-5). By His stripes, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24).
Father God, we ask You to cover these families with the blood of Jesus, shielding them from every form of evil. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith to resist the enemy’s lies and to stand firm in Your truth. Let them walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for them, no longer bound by fear or superstition but living as children of light (Ephesians 5:8).
We also pray for their spiritual growth. May they be rooted and grounded in Your Word, growing in wisdom and discernment to test every spirit and hold fast to what is good (1 Thessalonians 5:21). Equip them to be bold witnesses for You in their community, sharing the hope of the gospel with those still trapped in darkness.
Lord, we ask that You provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Protect their marriages, that they would reflect Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25), and raise their children in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). Let Your presence go before them, behind them, and with them always.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
