Pray for protection against evil attacks

Please pray for my son ### who is under spiritual attack since dedicating his company to Jesus and God. Pray that he is protected from all evil and is able to finish God’s work.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up ### and the spiritual battle he is facing. It is no coincidence that the enemy has intensified his attacks since your son dedicated his company to the Lord, this is a clear sign that the work being done is powerful and kingdom-shaking. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." We stand with you in this truth, declaring that the battle belongs to the Lord.

We rebuke every assignment of the enemy against ###'s life, his business, his mind, and his family. The Word of God assures us in Psalm 91:9-11, "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We claim this promise over ###, believing that God’s angels are encamped around him, deflecting every arrow of the enemy.

Father, we ask You to surround ### with Your hedge of protection. Shield him from every form of spiritual attack, whether it be fear, doubt, financial sabotage, or any other scheme of the devil. Strengthen him with Your might, Lord, so that he may stand firm in the armor You have provided (Ephesians 6:13-18). May he be rooted and grounded in Your Word, wielding the sword of the Spirit with precision and authority. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that every tongue that rises against him in judgment will be condemned.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for ### as he navigates this season. Let him not be ignorant of the devil’s devices (2 Corinthians 2:11), but instead, let him walk in the authority You have given him as a believer. Remind him daily that greater is He who is in him than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). May he find his strength and refuge in You alone, Lord, and may his faith be unwavering, even in the face of adversity.

Father, we ask that You would bless ###'s company abundantly. Let it be a vessel for Your glory, a light in the darkness, and a testimony of Your faithfulness. May every challenge he faces become a stepping stone to greater anointing, greater influence, and greater impact for Your kingdom. We pray that You would open doors no man can shut and bring divine connections and opportunities that align with Your perfect will for his life and business (Revelation 3:8).

Lastly, we pray for ###'s spiritual growth during this time. Let this season of testing refine him like gold, drawing him closer to You and deepening his dependence on Your strength. May he emerge from this battle stronger, bolder, and more committed to advancing Your kingdom. We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for Your faithfulness to protect and provide. We trust in Your promises and declare victory over ###'s life in the mighty name of Jesus.

We are standing with you in prayer for your son. It’s not surprising that dedicating a company to Jesus invites pushback, the enemy doesn’t give ground easily, and we’ve seen this pattern before. But the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work in your son, and no attack can separate him from God’s purpose. You are right to bring this to prayer; that’s the first and best thing any of us can do.

One thing that often makes a difference in these seasons is not letting him fight alone. If he hasn’t already, encourage him to ask two or three mature believers, people who understand the reality of spiritual warfare without making it the focus of their lives, to pray with him regularly, over his workplace, his decisions, and his family. Knowing others have his back can lift a weight off his shoulders. You, too, might offer to pray aloud with him by phone or in person, simply claiming Jesus’ authority over every scheme aimed at him. The enemy can’t stand against the name of Jesus, and sometimes hearing that truth spoken by a loved one reinforces it in a powerful way.

We also want to gently remind you to guard your own peace. A mother’s heart often carries the anxiety of the battle as much as the one in the thick of it. Rest in this: the Lord who called your son will equip him and complete the work He started. You don’t have to fear the outcome.

Lord Jesus, we bring this son before You. You know the attacks he’s facing since he took this bold stand for You. We ask for Your protective hand over him, shield his mind from discouragement, his body from harm, and his company from every scheme of the enemy. Strengthen him to finish the work You’ve given him, and let his workplace become a place of testimony to Your faithfulness. Surround him with wise counsel and your peace that passes understanding. And hold this mother close, replacing her fear with steady trust. In Your mighty name, amen.

The archers have sorely grieved him, but his bow abode in strength. You tell of your son, marked by the enemy’s malice because he has dedicated his company to the Lord. It is ever so: when a man sets his face to serve God, the masters of the arrows let fly their shafts. Joseph endured the daily solicitation of a wanton mistress; your son faces the spiritual assaults that beset every consecrated endeavor. Yet the arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob. We shall pray for him, that the shield of faith might quench every fiery dart, and that he might finish the work given him.

Let him not be overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good. The method of returning evil for evil does not succeed; it only increases the evil. Let him stand fast in the Spirit’s liberty, walking in boldness, avoiding every appearance of evil. His peace shall not be interrupted if he lives near to Christ, for the Lord has given him another groundwork: the covenant fidelity of his God and Father. Though the arrows fly thick, they cannot pierce the hidden man of the heart. The archers may be skilled, but the Lord is his shield.

We shall glean for him in the field of promise, stooping to gather the good corn of election and covenant love, that his soul may be nourished. The very act of dedicating his business is a token of grace, and the Lord will surely water what He has planted. The thorn shall become a fir tree, and the brier a myrtle, as the Spirit works moral and spiritual transformations. Fear not: the scarcest thing in the world is true spiritual light, but it has dawned on your son, and it shall not be extinguished. Only let him feed upon Christ, who is sweeter than the honeycomb, and the honey of His Word will restore his spiritual constitution. We will bear him up before the throne until the attack is spent and the Lord says, “It is enough.”

The very fact that your son now suffers this assault is a testimony of his devotion. The devil does not war against his own; he attacks where he sees the banner of Christ raised high. When your son dedicated his company to Jesus and God, he declared open war upon the kingdom of darkness, and so the enemy has turned his malice against him. But understand clearly: these things which seem to be against him are, in God’s wisdom, becoming for him the very causes of crowns and procurers of countless blessings. For if God is for him, who can be against him? No one is truly against the faithful man who takes heed to God’s laws. Even the plots of the wicked, without their will, work for his salvation and glory. This is what gave new luster to Job. The devil moved friends, wife, wounds, servants, and a thousand other machinations against him, and yet it turned out that nothing was against him on the whole, but everything was for him, because God was for him.

But there is something your son must guard with all watchfulness: the devil is most bold when he sees a man left alone and by himself. It was when he caught the woman apart from her husband in the beginning that he set upon her. Therefore, we have the greatest need to be flocking together continually, that we may not be open to his attacks. Let your son not isolate himself in this battle. Let him gather with the faithful, call upon the elders of the church, and with his own household take the Scriptures into his hands, putting together what he has heard from God’s word, calling his wife and children to join him. Then, not before, engage in the business of life. For when we leave the assembly and plunge immediately into worldly affairs, the flame of zeal is quenched and we become altered men. The remembrance of holy things is a wall of defense.

Moreover, let no one imagine that evil comes from anything outside the moral choice of the soul. If the soul does not will the evil, it is cleared; if he does not work it himself, no outward attack can truly harm him. The essence of the soul and body are God’s works, but the willing of evil is a motion from ourselves, from our own mind. So I say to you: the devil may roar, but he cannot overpower a will fixed on Christ. Your son’s protection is not found in a life free from conflict, but in a heart that clings to God and does not consent to the enemy’s suggestions. Let him not grow weary or fall into despair. The evil one suffers no one to see the snare before the sin is completed, but your son is watchful. Therefore, even these attacks become his trainers in virtue.

Do not cease to pray, and encourage him to finish the work with boldness. The same Lord who allowed the assault will bring it to a glorious end, turning even the plots of the enemy into his salvation and the glory of His name. Nothing can stand against the man who is truly crucified with Christ, not famine, not evil report, not even death itself. These only twine about him a brighter crown. So let him go forward, not trusting in himself but in the power of God, who raises up what has been buried and makes all things new.
