We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up those who are being unjustly harassed and targeted by those with malicious intent. The Bible is clear that theft, jealousy, and covetousness are sins that grieve the heart of God. In Exodus 20:15 and 17, the Lord commands, *"You shall not steal. You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s."* These actions stem from a heart that is not surrendered to Christ, and we must stand against such wickedness in prayer.
We also rebuke the spirit of jealousy and false accusation that drives people to assume others are wealthy simply because they are faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to them. Proverbs 14:30 warns, *"A tranquil heart gives life to the flesh, but envy makes the bones rot."* The enemy seeks to divide and destroy through envy, but we declare that God’s people will not be shaken by the lies and schemes of the wicked.
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, we bind every spirit of theft, jealousy, and harassment that is operating against Your children. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We pray for those who are persecuting Your people—may their eyes be opened to the truth of Your Word, and may their hearts be softened to repentance. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their wickedness, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
We ask for divine protection over the finances, reputations, and peace of those being targeted. Lord, You are their Provider and Defender. Psalm 37:25 assures us, *"I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread."* We stand on this promise and declare that no thief will prosper against God’s people. May Your angels encamp around them, shielding them from every scheme of the enemy (Psalm 91:11).
For those who are struggling under the weight of this harassment, we pray that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are their vindicator. Romans 12:19 tells us, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ‘Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’"* We trust You to bring justice in Your perfect timing.
Lastly, we pray for a supernatural intervention in the hearts of those who are acting out of greed and envy. May they encounter the love of Christ in a way that breaks the chains of bitterness and malice. Let them see that true riches are found in a relationship with You, not in the fleeting things of this world. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.
