We lift our voices together in prayer for our African American brothers and sisters in Christ who face unjust persecution, theft, and harm from those who seek to oppress them out of jealousy, lawlessness, or evil intent. The Lord sees every injustice and hears the cries of His children. We stand on His promises, declaring that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We rebuke the spirit of envy and theft in the mighty name of Jesus, for the enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy—but Christ came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10).
Father God, we ask You to surround Your children with Your hedge of protection. Shield them from the schemes of the wicked, whether in their communities, workplaces, or anywhere they go. Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding their lives, their finances, and their peace (Psalm 34:7). Expose every hidden plot of the enemy and frustrate the plans of those who seek to harm them unjustly. May Your justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream (Amos 5:24). We declare that their steps are ordered by You, Lord, and that You will make their way prosperous (Psalm 37:23).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for our brothers and sisters. Help them to walk in the light of Your Word, avoiding the snares of the enemy. Teach them to trust in You with all their hearts and lean not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). Provide for all their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19), and let them experience Your faithfulness in tangible ways. May they find refuge in You, their strong tower, and run to You in times of trouble (Psalm 61:3).
Lord, we ask that You would heal the wounds caused by injustice and restore what has been stolen. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith, that they may not grow weary in doing good, for in due season they will reap a harvest if they do not give up (Galatians 6:9). May they be a light in their communities, showing forth Your love and grace even in the face of adversity.
We also rebuke the spirit of division and strife that seeks to pit people against one another. Let Your love bind us together as one body in Christ, regardless of race or background. May Your children walk in unity, bearing one another’s burdens and fulfilling the law of Christ (Galatians 6:2). We pray for revival in the hearts of all believers, that we may stand firm in faith and love, overcoming evil with good (Romans 12:21).
Finally, we declare that no weapon formed against Your people shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment will be silenced. We stand on the authority of Jesus’ name, for there is power in the name of Jesus to break every chain and set the captives free. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in their lives, just as it is in heaven. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
