We lift up to You, Father, with hearts full of love and concern. Lord, we ask that You would pour out Your peace upon him like a river, washing away the restlessness and boredom that may be weighing on his spirit. Your Word tells us in Philippians 4:7, "And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." We pray that this peace would anchor him, giving him clarity and hope as he seeks Your will for his future.
Father, grant him wisdom as he discerns his career path. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." May he seek You first in all his decisions, trusting that You will guide his steps. Remove any fear or doubt that may be holding him back, and replace it with confidence in Your perfect plan for his life.
We also bring before You the struggles he faces with habits and addictions. Lord, we know that sin can entangle and ensnare, but Your power is greater than any stronghold. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, You promise, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Strengthen him, Father, to resist temptation and walk in the freedom that Christ died to give him. Surround him with accountability and godly influences who will encourage him in his walk with You.
We pray for his faith to grow deeper and more steadfast. May he draw near to You, knowing that You are his refuge and strength. In James 4:8, You tell us, "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." Let him experience the fullness of Your presence, finding joy and contentment in You alone. Remind him daily of Your unfailing love, as it says in Zephaniah 3:17, "Yahweh your God is among you, a mighty one who will save. He will rejoice over you with joy. He will calm you in his love. He will rejoice over you with singing."
Lord, we ask that You would surround him with friends and mentors who will speak truth into his life and point him toward You. Let him be a light to others, even as he is encouraged by those around him. May his relationships be healthy, uplifting, and grounded in Your love.
Above all, Father, we pray that would know how deeply he is loved by You. Help him to grasp the truth of Romans 8:38-39, "For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Let this love be the foundation of his life, filling him with purpose, joy, and a deep sense of belonging.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. May walk in the fullness of Your blessings, living a life that honors You in every way. Amen.
