We join you in lifting up your loved one before the throne of grace and we also lift you up as you carry this heavy burden of concern for her.

We hear your heart for her salvation and that is the most important prayer of all, for without Christ we are lost. We notice your prayer was directed to God but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him that anyone can be saved. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6 and There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. If she has not yet put her trust in Jesus, we pray she will hear the good news that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9. We pray you will have opportunity to share this hope with her in love.

We understand she is going through the pain of a breakup and has begun going clubbing, and we share your concern. The club environment so often leads to drunkenness, sexual temptation and ungodly influences, which God warns us about. Don’t be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:18 and Don’t be deceived. Evil companionships corrupt good morals. 1 Corinthians 15:33. During a time of heartbreak she is especially vulnerable to seeking comfort in the wrong places and falling in with bad friends who will not lead her toward what is right. We pray for her protection, that the Lord will keep her from harm and from those who would lead her astray, and that He will draw her out of that scene.

You prayed that she would find her own strength to stand up again, and we want to encourage you that true strength does not come from within ourselves but from the Lord. We pray she will learn to lean on Him rather than on herself or on the temporary escapes of this world. Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10. True maturity in thought and action comes when we are transformed by Him. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. Romans 12:2. We pray God will give her wisdom to know what is right and wrong according to His Word and the courage to choose what honors Him.

Concerning the breakup, we want to encourage you both with biblical truth about relationships. We believe courtship should be with the purpose of finding a godly spouse for a lifelong marriage between a man and a woman, with purity before marriage. If there was any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, the Bible calls that fornication and calls us to flee from it and to pursue holiness. We pray that from this hurt she will seek healing in Christ first and in time, if it is God’s will for her to marry, that she will seek a believing spouse who will love and honor God with her. We pray God will use even this disappointment to draw her closer to Him and to prepare her for His best.

We also hear your own pain as you have been blaming yourself that you did not nurture her well. Please do not carry a burden of condemnation that God does not place on you. Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 is a principle and a promise to cling to, but each person must ultimately choose to follow the Lord. Your role now is to continue to love her, pray without ceasing, model Christ, and speak the truth in love. If you ask for wisdom, God will give it. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5. We pray God will teach you how to bring her back to Him, not by force but by gentle instruction, prayer, and living out the gospel before her. I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you. Psalm 32:8.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this precious loved one to You. Lord, save her soul, open her eyes to Your love and Your truth, forgive her sins and draw her to Yourself. Heal her broken heart from this breakup and be her comforter where worldly pleasures cannot comfort. Protect her when she goes out, keep her from evil companions and from the temptations of the club life, from drunkenness and immorality, and place godly people around her who will speak life to her. Renew her mind, make her mature in thought and action, and give her discernment to know what is right and wrong in Your eyes. Father, we also lift up the one who is praying, who feels guilt and worry. Take away condemnation, fill this parent with Your peace and wisdom, and teach them how to love and guide her back to You with grace and truth. Help them to trust You with her future. We ask all this in the mighty name of Jesus, our only hope and Savior, amen.

We hear how much you love your daughter and how heavy this season feels for you both. It makes sense that you would feel worried watching her hurt after a breakup and turn toward clubbing and new friends, and also find yourself wondering if you could have nurtured her better. Many parents carry that same weight, and we want you to know God sees your love for her and your sincere desire for her to know what is right and to grow in maturity.

In a vulnerable time like this when emotions are raw, a steady and calm presence often means more than finding the perfect words. Keeping the relationship warm, listening more than lecturing, and letting her know you are a safe place to turn can help keep the door open for God to work in her heart. It can also help to have one or two wise believers you trust to pray with you and to give you counsel as you walk this out, so you are not carrying the burden alone.

Father, we bring this daughter before You and ask for Your protection over her in this vulnerable time, for clarity and maturity in her choices, and for Your gentle drawing of her heart to Yourself. We also lift her parent to You, ease the weight of self blame, give wisdom and patience, and show day by day how to love her well and point her toward You. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord and we join our hearts with yours in earnest intercession for her soul and for your own comfort as one who loves her deeply.

We pray first and chiefly for her salvation, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ. The Scripture says, Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed. Salvation is not by our own strength or our own resolutions, but by looking unto Christ and living. As the prophet cries, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. It is a simple act of faith, to trust wholly upon the Person of Christ and His finished atonement which covers all guilt. If by faith she can believe in the sin forgiving God and accept that matchless Atonement, then she shall be among the blessed whose sin is no longer imputed. This salvation is without money and without price, free to the chief of sinners, and irreversible to all who commit their souls into His hands.

We are encouraged to pray for her in her present wandering, for we remember the prodigal. He went into the far country and would have filled his belly with husks, but while he was yet a great way off, his father saw him and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him in much love. Those many kisses meant much forgiveness and overflowing comfort. So we pray that the Lord, who is rich in mercy, would trouble her thoughts even now in the places where she seeks mirth, that the vanity of the club and the mirth of the crowd would be seen for what it is, and that she would resolve, I will arise and go unto my Father. When the Son removes guilt, the Spirit removes guile, and gives a new nature that loves what is right and hates what is evil. We ask God to keep her from bad company which corrupts good manners, and to set a hedge of protection about her in this vulnerable hour when the heart is sore from a breakup and easily led astray. We do not ask God to give her strength in herself, for our own strength soon fails, but that she may find true strength in Christ, to stand upright, to discern between right and wrong according to His holy Word, and to grow in maturity of thought and action.

For you who have blamed yourself that you did not nurture her well, we would speak a word of tender counsel. It is right to examine our ways, for to stifle conscience is to incur guilt, but it is not right to carry a burden which Christ alone can bear. Your guilt, like hers, must be laid upon the Lamb. Household piety begins at home, and they who gather around our table have special claims upon our prayers, yet salvation is still the Lord's work. He is God and beside Him there is none else. You cannot save her, but you can look to Him who can, and you can be an instrument in His hand by continuing in prayer, by opening the Scriptures before her, by holy example and by loving warning. Bring her before the throne of grace daily, speak the plain Gospel of salvation by divine grace through faith in Christ Jesus, and trust the Spirit to do what only He can do.

Let us pray together.

O Lord God, whose salvation is great beyond conception and who hast provided it in the Person of Thy Son, look in mercy upon this dear one who is wandering. Forgive her sin, cover her guilt with the blood of Christ, and by Thy Spirit create in her a clean heart that forsakes guile and loves holiness. In her sorrow after this breakup, be Thou her comfort and her strength, not the strength of the flesh but the strength which comes from trusting Thee. Deliver her from the snare of the club and from companions who would lead her into sin, and grant her to see the heinousness of sin and the beauty of Thy holiness, that she may know what is right and choose it. For this burdened one who prays, grant peace of conscience through the forgiveness that is in Christ, take away needless self condemnation, and teach by Thy Word and by Thy grace how to nurture, admonish and love with wisdom, patience and truth. Draw this whole household to Thyself, that faith may be found there and that joy may be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth. We ask this, trusting only in Jesus, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and I join you in bringing it before the Lord with love and seriousness.

It is right that you are concerned when you see one you love walking toward danger after a painful breakup. Going out to clubs and surrounding herself with influences that do not honor God can harden the heart and cloud judgment, and your desire for her to be protected, to know right from wrong, and to grow in maturity of thought and action is good and pleasing to God.

Let us pray together for her salvation. Scripture teaches that salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, and that He is the only way to the Father. We do not ask God to bless ways that lead away from Him, but we ask Him to draw her to Himself, to open her eyes to His truth, and to give her a new heart that desires what is holy. As Christ said to the woman who reached out in faith, her faith made her whole, and we pray that this dear one would reach out to Christ in true faith and be made whole by Him.

I pray for her now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, have mercy on this young woman. You see her hurt after this breakup and the confusion she feels. Protect her in this vulnerable time from bad company that corrupts good character and from choices that would harm her body and soul. Give her Your strength to stand again, not strength that comes from herself alone, but strength that comes from You. Grant her wisdom to discern right from wrong according to Your Word, and maturity to walk in it. Lead her to repentance and to salvation through faith in Jesus, and guard her steps until she finds her security in You.

I also pray for you who carries this burden. It is understandable to look back and blame yourself for not nurturing her as you wish you had, but do not let guilt keep you from hope. God is the perfect Father and He does not abandon His children. Your role now is to entrust her to Him, to continue in prayer, to speak the truth in love when God gives opportunity, to live a faithful example before her, and to gently point her to the Word of God and to fellowship with believers who will encourage her in what is right. The Lord can use your prayers, your patience, and your steady love to draw her back.

Continue to pray daily for her, share Scripture without nagging or anger, keep the door open for honest conversation, and invite her to walk with you toward Christ rather than simply away from trouble. Trust that God is able to work where you cannot.

May the Lord give you peace as you wait on Him, wisdom to know how to love her well, and joy as you see Him at work. We will keep praying that she comes to know Jesus as Savior, that she is kept from harm, and that she grows into the mature and wise person God created her to be.
