Pray for my marriage

Snsairdale

Disciple of Prayer
Will you please pray for my marriage. My husband and I had a huge fight yesterday. We hardly ever fight but when we do they are always big and it usually comes when I try to draw nearer to God. Please pray for peace in my marriage and for my husband to see where he was wrong and for myself as well. I pray God will take away his anger and fill it with understanding, he becomes very defensive and I get so upset that I say hurtful things. Please pray for unity and peace in my home and marriage.

We hear your heart, dear sister, and we lift your marriage before the Lord with urgency and compassion. Marriage is a sacred covenant, a reflection of Christ’s love for His church, and it is worth fighting for—not with anger or hurtful words, but with humility, grace, and the power of the Holy Spirit. The fact that conflict arises when you draw nearer to God is not a coincidence; the enemy despises unity in Christ, especially within a marriage. But we declare that no weapon formed against your marriage shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we stand with you in prayer, believing God will restore what has been fractured.

First, we must address the pattern you described—when conflict escalates, defensiveness and hurtful words take over. Scripture warns us, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1). Both you and your husband are responsible for guarding your tongues and your hearts. *"Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear"* (Ephesians 4:29). We rebuke the spirit of strife and division that seeks to steal, kill, and destroy your marriage. In the name of Jesus, we command it to flee! We also rebuke the pride that keeps either of you from humbling yourselves to seek reconciliation. *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6). True strength is found in laying down your rights and choosing peace.

We pray now for your husband, that the Lord would soften his heart and open his eyes to see where he has allowed defensiveness to harden him. Father, we ask that You convict him—not with condemnation, but with Your loving correction. Give him a spirit of wisdom and revelation to understand his role as the spiritual leader of your home (Ephesians 5:23). Where anger has taken root, uproot it, Lord, and replace it with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Where there has been blindness to his own faults, give him clarity and a willingness to repent. We declare that he will not be ruled by his emotions but will be led by Your Spirit, which produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23).

For you, sister, we pray for a heart of humility and self-control. It is easy to react in the heat of the moment, but we ask that the Holy Spirit would help you to pause, pray, and respond with grace. *"A fool vents all of his anger, but a wise man brings himself under control"* (Proverbs 29:11). We also pray for your words—may they be seasoned with salt, full of grace and truth (Colossians 4:6). When you are tempted to speak out of hurt or frustration, remind yourself that your words have the power to build up or tear down. Choose life, choose healing, choose love. We declare that you will be a peacemaker in your home, not a source of strife.

Lord, we ask that You would bring unity and peace to this marriage. Where there has been division, bring reconciliation. Where there has been anger, bring understanding. Where there has been hurt, bring healing. We declare that this marriage will be a testimony of Your faithfulness and grace. *"Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it"* (Psalm 127:1). We invite You, Lord, to be the foundation, the builder, and the restorer of this union. May Your love be the glue that holds them together, and may Your Word be the light that guides them.

We also pray for a fresh outpouring of Your Spirit over both of you. Draw them closer to You and, in turn, closer to one another. May they seek You first in all things, knowing that a cord of three strands is not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12). Father, we ask that You would give them a shared vision for their marriage—one that honors You, serves one another, and reflects Your love to the world. May their home be a place of peace, joy, and worship, where Your presence dwells richly.

Finally, we pray for protection over this marriage. The enemy would love nothing more than to see it crumble, but we declare that no scheme of the devil will succeed. We bind every spirit of division, anger, and unforgiveness in the name of Jesus. We loose love, joy, peace, patience, and unity in its place. May this marriage be a shining light in a dark world, a testimony to the power of Your redeeming love.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

We're here for you, dear sister. We've been where you are, and we know the pain of a marriage strained by conflict. But we also know the power of prayer and the healing that comes from surrendering to God's love.

First, let's ask God to help you both guard your tongues and hearts. When conflict arises, it's easy to lash out, but let's choose to speak life instead. "Let your 'yes' be 'yes' and your 'no' be 'no'. Anything beyond this comes from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37) Let's ask God to give you both a spirit of wisdom and understanding, to see each other's perspectives clearly, and to respond with grace.

We also need to pray for humility. Pride can keep us from apologizing or seeking reconciliation. Let's ask God to help you both humble yourselves, to admit when you're wrong, and to forgive as you've been forgiven.

For your husband, let's pray that God softens his heart and opens his eyes to see where he might have been defensive or wrong. Let's ask God to fill him with His peace, which surpasses all understanding. For you, dear sister, let's pray for a heart of humility and self-control. In the heat of the moment, it's easy to react, but let's ask God to help you pause, pray, and respond with grace.

Let's also pray for unity and peace in your marriage. Where there's been division, let's ask God to bring reconciliation. Where there's been anger, let's ask Him to bring understanding. Where there's been hurt, let's ask Him to bring healing.

Lastly, let's pray for protection over your marriage. The enemy would love nothing more than to see it crumble, but we know that no weapon formed against it shall prosper. Let's bind every spirit of division, anger, and unforgiveness, and loose love, joy, peace, patience, and unity in its place.

In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Praying for you and your request in Jesus. Did you know that there are promises that we can claim in Jesus over ourselves, our marriages, our families all through the Bible but especially in the book of Hosea?

Have we ever really meditated on Matthew 6 where Jesus instructs us to take no thought for our lives? I have looked at this in terms of the rest of the Bible where I have learned to claim His Promises in Jesus and take on His thoughts for my life. Thank You Lord Jesus for Blessing me to learn to stop thinking about my life, learn to take on Your thoughts for my life and so much more for Your Glory and my good in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Do you Believe Jesus died for our sins, is Risen from the dead, is Preparing a place for us and is about to call us to join Him?

Are you watching for Jesus in the Clouds of Glory? Jesus is about to call us to join Him!

We can do everything Jesus did and more! We can speak; sickness leave in Jesus! Be healed by Jesus stripes! I am healed by Jesus stripes! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

You can copy and paste this to pray every day and share...

There is nothing that happens for us that is bad except our thoughts about what is happening to us. The Bible says All things work together for our good in Jesus! Look at everything as good!

Sing through out your days Thank You Jesus, Praise You Jesus, Glory to You Lord Jesus or anything that is on your heart to sing to Jesus! It doesn't matter how we sound, Angels will join in with us and Jesus will join in with us as well as fight for us, knock down walls for us, open locks for us, save people for us, evil will flee from us, He heals us and He will over flow His Holy Peace in us.

Praying for others on here and reading your Bible will help you tremendously.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life from Matthew 6. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. My wife returned. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus! All things work together for my good in Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus! Glory to You Lord Jesus!!!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Pray this prayer look up the verses and pray it again with your friends and family and let's mount up with wings as eagles and soar. Soar with me.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. God I take You at Your Word, if I will draw closer to You, You will draw closer to me (James 4:8). Show me how to draw closer to You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Bless us to sing praises and thanks to You Lord Jesus so You can fill us with the wine of the Spirit in Jesus Name, Amen.
