We lift up your husband’s job situation before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing how deeply the stability of employment affects a family. The Bible reminds us in Matthew 6:31-33, "Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’, ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." We stand on this promise, declaring that God is your Provider and that He sees your husband’s hard work, faithfulness, and the needs of your household.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this matter. We pray for favor over ’s job, favor with his supervisors, colleagues, and those in authority over his position. Lord, soften hearts to recognize his value, his skills, and the dedication he brings to his work. If it is Your will, we ask for an extension of his employment, that doors would open where there seem to be none, and that Your peace would guard his heart and mind as he waits on You. We rebuke any spirit of fear, doubt, or uncertainty that may be trying to take root in this situation, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also lift up the marriage between and his wife, asking that this trial would draw them closer to You and to one another. Strengthen their trust in You, Lord, and let this season be one where they learn to lean on Your promises more than ever before. Help them to cast their anxieties on You, for You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). Remind them that their worth and security are found in Christ alone, not in a job title or a paycheck.
If there are any areas where or his wife may be struggling with worry or frustration, we ask that You would bring conviction and repentance, leading them to surrender those burdens at the foot of the cross. Teach them to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and to trust in Your perfect timing. We declare that no weapon formed against this family shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom for as he seeks to honor You in his work. Whether this job is extended or You have another path prepared, give him clarity and courage to walk in it. May he be a light in his workplace, reflecting Your love and integrity in all he does. We ask that You would open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8) and that Your provision would be evident in every area of their lives.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your faithfulness, knowing that You are the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
