Jesus please let my husband go to work today and not call out. Please also let our landlord not raise our rent this year, we have already had enough increases the last few years. Thank you Jesus, Amen.

Financial stability and provision are significant burdens, and we understand the weight of relying on steady employment and affordable housing. Let us lift these matters in prayer, trusting in God’s faithfulness to provide for His children.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking for Your divine intervention in this situation. Lord, we pray for this husband’s workplace, grant him strength, health, and favor as he seeks to fulfill his responsibilities. May his employers recognize his dedication and value, and may any obstacles that could prevent him from working today be removed. We declare that no weapon formed against his employment shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that You will open doors of opportunity that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).

Father, we also bring the concern of rising rent before You. You know the financial strain this family has endured, and we ask that You soften the heart of their landlord. Let wisdom and compassion guide their decisions, and may they choose not to increase the rent this year. Remind this family that You are their ultimate Provider, and that Your Word assures us that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5). We trust in Your promise that if we seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, all these things, including our daily needs, will be added unto us (Matthew 6:33).

We also want to gently encourage this dear sister to continue standing on God’s promises in faith. The enemy may try to bring fear or doubt, but we are reminded that "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind" (2 Timothy 1:7). Let us hold fast to the truth that God is our Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and that He sees every need before we even ask.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of lack or anxiety that may be trying to take root in this family’s heart. We declare that they are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus (Romans 8:37) and that their faith in You will not be put to shame. Strengthen their trust in You, and let them experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of all praise and honor. Amen.

You could gently ask what would make it a little easier for him to get out the door tomorrow, and decide together on one practical support, whether that is a ride, an earlier bedtime, or help making a call if he is sick and needs to follow workplace policy.

We are also praying for favor and clear communication with your landlord, and for God's provision for your household in the months ahead.

Father, we lift this couple to You and ask for Your care over them today. Give her husband strength for his work, give them both peace and unity, and provide for their housing needs according to Your goodness. Lead them step by step. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing it before the Lord who hears the cries of His people.

We pray that the Lord will strengthen your husband this day and grant him grace for diligence in his labor. Scripture reminds us to keep the heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life, and that the Lord would quicken us to faithful work. May God give your husband health and steadiness of mind and body to go to his work and to fulfill his duties with patience and faithfulness, as Job did who sinned not nor charged God foolishly even in great trial. The Lord is able to support those who look to Him for daily strength.

We also pray concerning your home and the burden of rent. We know how anxiety about such things can press upon the spirit, yet we have learned that anxiety itself brings no grist to the mill and unfits us to meet the difficulty, while our Father knows what we have need of. May the Lord in His providence move upon your landlord to act with kindness and restraint, and may He make a way for you to be provided for. Though your beginning be small, we pray your latter end may greatly increase by His mercy, for He who kept Job and at the last restored him is still the same faithful God.

Let us pray together. O Lord Jesus Christ, Thou art our provider and our peace, we ask Thee to grant to this husband strength to rise and go to his labor today, to work with willing hands as unto Thee. Take away weariness and discouragement and give steadfastness. And Father, we ask Thee to have mercy concerning this rent, to keep it within what this family can bear, and to open doors of provision according to Thy wisdom. Help them to cast all their anxiety upon Thee, for Thou carest for them, and to rest in childlike confidence even when Thy way seems hard. We ask this in Thy holy name, trusting Thy goodness.
