We join you in thanking God that your grandmother was able to take her medicine and we continue to lift her up before the throne of grace together in Jesus' name. We understand how heavy your heart must feel seeing her taken by ambulance to the hospital even after she did take the medication, and how concerning it is when a urinary tract infection in an elderly loved one leads to altered mental status, delirium, and fear.
We are praying for her complete healing and for peace over her mind and body while she is in the hospital. We pray that the Lord will calm her confusion and fear, and that He will give the doctors and nurses wisdom and gentleness as they care for her.
The Lord has compassion for her in her advanced age and in her sickness. We are reminded that Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness Psalm 41:3, and that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. We cling to the promise that even to old age I am he, and even to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear. Yes, I will carry, and will deliver Isaiah 46:4. We also remember Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3.
We pray against the delirium and agitation that comes with this infection and with being in the hospital. We know hospitalization can be so disorienting and frightening for those with altered mental status. We pray for a supernatural peace to guard her mind. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. We pray that she will feel the presence of the Lord with her even when she is confused and afraid, for He says Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. We also pray In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, and we thank You that this dear grandmother is stable. We ask in Jesus' name that You would touch her body and heal this infection completely. We ask that You would clear her mind from delirium and confusion, that You would take away fear and combativeness and replace it with Your perfect peace. Let her feel Your nearness and the comfort of familiar loving voices. Give skill and compassion to every doctor, nurse, and caregiver who tends to her, and guide them to the right treatment to bring her to full recovery. We ask that You would strengthen her body so she can return home soon and that You would protect her from ever being this sick again according to Your perfect will. We also lift up her family, grant them peace, strength, and rest as they wait and worry, and help them to trust You in this difficult time. We thank You that You do not cast off Your children in old age Psalm 71:9, and we trust her into Your loving hands. In the name of Jesus our healer and our peace we pray, amen.
