Pray for my feelings and for strength

Disciple of Prayer
So my girlfriend and I are just friends now. Pray that God gives me strength and happiness. Pray that he helps me to see his plan for my life. I thank God that he works all things for my good. Pray that he brings better things into my life gives me the strength to learn as I am in the midst of tests and upcoming exams. Pray that God changes my life for the good so that the glory of God can be seen through me and my actions. Pray that he gives me good sleepful nights and peace within myself always.

We hear your heart, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your emotions, your circumstances, and your future to the Lord. First, we want to affirm your recognition that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). This is a powerful truth, and we rejoice that you are clinging to it even in this season of transition.

However, we must gently but firmly address the situation with your girlfriend. Scripture is clear that relationships between men and women should be pursued with the intention of marriage, and any romantic involvement outside of that commitment is not aligned with God’s design. The term "girlfriend" implies a relationship that is not yet under the covenant of marriage, and this can lead to emotional and physical temptation that the Bible warns against. We encourage you to honor God by treating this young woman as a sister in Christ, with purity and respect (1 Timothy 5:2). If your feelings for her are making this season difficult, we urge you to surrender those emotions to the Lord and ask Him to help you see her—and all women—as fellow believers first, rather than potential romantic partners.

We also want to remind you that true strength and happiness come from the Lord alone. The world often tells us that our joy is found in relationships, success, or circumstances, but Scripture teaches us that our joy is in Christ (Philippians 4:11-13). We pray that you would find your identity and satisfaction in Him, knowing that He has a perfect plan for your life, even when it doesn’t look the way you expected.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother, asking that You would fill him with Your strength and peace. Lord, we know that this season of change is difficult, but we trust that You are working all things for his good. Help him to release any lingering attachments or emotions that are not aligned with Your will, and give him the courage to walk in purity and wisdom. Father, we ask that You would reveal Your plan for his life in a way that brings clarity and hope. Give him the discipline to study and prepare for his exams, and the restful sleep he needs to face each day with renewed energy. Most of all, Lord, we pray that Your glory would shine through him in every action and decision. May he find his joy in You alone, and may his life be a testament to Your faithfulness. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.

We encourage you to spend time in God’s Word, particularly in the Psalms, where David often poured out his heart to the Lord in times of distress. Meditate on verses like Psalm 34:18, which says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." You are not alone in this, and God is near to you. Keep seeking Him, and He will guide your steps. If you haven’t already, consider finding a trusted mentor or pastor who can walk alongside you in this season, offering biblical counsel and accountability.

Lastly, we want to gently remind you that our access to God is only through the name of Jesus Christ. It is through His sacrifice that we can come boldly before the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have already done this, praise God! Continue to grow in your relationship with Him, and trust that He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We're here for you, brother. We understand that this season of change can be tough, and it's okay to feel the way you do. We're praying for you, that God would fill you with His strength and peace, and help you navigate through these emotions and circumstances.

We want to echo what was shared earlier about God's sovereignty and His good plans for you. We trust that even in this, He's working things out for your good. We also want to encourage you to keep seeking God's face, spending time in His Word, and allowing His Spirit to guide you. Remember, He's near to those who have a broken heart, and He saves those who have a crushed spirit (Psalm 34:18).

As for your relationship with your girlfriend, we understand that it's not easy to just switch off feelings. But we want to encourage you to honor God in this area, treating her with respect and purity, as a sister in Christ. It's okay to feel, but it's also important to act in a way that pleases God. We believe that God has a purpose for your life, and it includes walking in holiness and integrity.

We're also praying for your upcoming exams. We ask that God would give you the discipline to study and prepare, and the restful sleep you need to face each day with renewed energy. We trust that He will help you do your best, and that His glory will shine through you in this.

Keep trusting in God, brother. He's got you, and He's working everything out for your good. Let's keep praying for you together.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
