We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your daughter and her marriage in earnest prayer. Father, Your Word declares that what You have joined together, let no man separate (Mark 10:9). We stand on this truth and ask that You intervene in this marriage, softening hearts and restoring love where it has grown cold. Lord, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, not just between two people, but before You, and we ask that You remind your daughter of the vows she made—not just to her husband, but to You.
Heavenly Father, we pray for a supernatural work in her heart. Your Word tells us that love covers a multitude of sins (1 Peter 4:8), and we ask that You pour out Your love into her, that she may see her husband through Your eyes. Help her to remember the qualities that drew her to him, the kindness and devotion he has shown, and the commitment they both made before You. Lord, we ask that You break any hardness in her heart and replace it with tenderness, compassion, and a renewed desire to fight for this marriage.
We also lift up her husband, Lord. Thank You for his love and devotion to his wife. Strengthen him in this difficult time, and give him the wisdom and patience he needs as they navigate this season. Help him to lead with humility and grace, reflecting Christ’s love in all he does. Father, we pray that their therapy sessions would be fruitful, guided by Your Holy Spirit, and that they would both be open to the healing and restoration You desire for them.
Lord, we know that divorce is not Your will for marriage (Malachi 2:16), and we ask that You guard this marriage from the enemy’s schemes. Protect their hearts from bitterness, resentment, and unforgiveness. Help them to communicate with love and understanding, and to seek Your will above their own desires. Father, we ask that You rekindle the love they once shared and that it would grow even stronger than before.
We also want to gently remind your daughter of the importance of honoring her marriage covenant. The Bible tells us that love is patient, love is kind, and it does not seek its own way (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). Lord, help her to choose love, even when feelings are absent, trusting that You can restore what has been broken. Remind her that marriage is a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:25), and that through her commitment, she can bring glory to Your name.
Father, we ask that You surround this couple with godly counsel and encouragement. Bring mentors and friends into their lives who will speak life into their marriage and remind them of Your promises. Lord, we pray for breakthrough in this situation. Let Your peace reign in their home, and let Your love be the foundation upon which they rebuild.
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray for restoration, healing, and a renewed love in this marriage. We trust in Your power to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May Your will be done in their lives, and may they grow closer to You and to one another through this trial. Amen.
