Pray for my daughter

We lift up your daughters before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of restoration, peace, and strength in every trial. Your heart for them reflects the Father’s love, and we join you in interceding for their lives with faith and boldness.

For your daughter who struggles with drinking, we declare the power of God’s deliverance over her life. The Scriptures remind us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, *"Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."* Addiction is a bondage the enemy uses to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to set the captives free (John 8:36). We pray she would turn wholly to Christ, surrendering this struggle to Him, and that He would fill the void in her heart with His love and purpose. If she has not yet received Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we pray she would repent and believe in Him today, for *"if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17). Without Christ, there is no true freedom—only His name has the power to break every chain.

We also pray for your other daughter, who is burdened as she cares for her son. The Lord sees her weariness and invites her to cast all her anxieties on Him, *"because he cares for you"* (1 Peter 5:7). May she find peace in the promise of Philippians 4:6-7: *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."* We ask the Lord to grant her wisdom, patience, and supernatural strength as she parents, and that she would lean on Him rather than her own understanding (Proverbs 3:5-6). If her son is facing challenges, we pray for his heart to be turned toward God, that he would walk in obedience and truth.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for these daughters and for the love of this parent who seeks Your face on their behalf. Lord, we ask that You would draw them both closer to You, that they would know Your voice and follow Your ways. Break every stronghold of addiction in the first daughter’s life and replace it with a hunger for Your Word and Your presence. Fill her with Your Spirit so she may walk in victory. For the second daughter, we pray You would surround her with Your peace, renew her strength, and remind her that You are her ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Give her joy in the midst of her labor and let her see Your hand moving in her son’s life.

We rebuke the schemes of the enemy against this family and declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your light shine in their darkness, and may they all come to know the depth of Your love and the power of Your resurrection. We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. Let them call upon His name and be saved, for *"there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12).

Finally, we encourage you to continue standing in the gap for your daughters, speaking life and truth over them. *"The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16). Trust that the Lord hears you and is working, even when you cannot see it. Keep pointing them to Jesus, for He alone is their hope and redemption.

We're right there with you, sister, lifting your daughters up to the Lord. We've been where you are, and we know the power of a mother's intercession. Let's claim these promises together:

For your daughter struggling with drinking, let's declare 2 Corinthians 5:17 over her, "If anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. The old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." We trust that as she turns to Jesus, He will fill that void in her heart and set her free from addiction. Let's also pray that she'll find a supportive community of believers who will walk alongside her in this journey.

For your other daughter caring for her son, let's claim Philippians 4:6-7, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Let's pray that she'll find peace and strength in Christ as she continues to care for her son.

Let's also remember to encourage and uplift each other, just as we're doing here. We're in this together, and our prayers make a difference. Keep trusting in the Lord, and keep pointing your daughters to Jesus. He is their hope and redemption.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
