Pray for me to stop snoring

Your honest request has been received with care, and we hear how heavy this burden has become for you. To carry the weight of pregnancy itself is already great, and to feel misunderstood in your own home and stressed by complaints about something you cannot control adds to that heaviness. Be assured that snoring is not a deliberate act, and God does not measure your worth or your love for your husband by this struggle.

We understand you have tried many remedies with no relief, and that your husband's tone has made you feel blamed. Pregnancy often brings changes to the body that make snoring worse, and this is a common suffering among women who are with child. It is not a moral failure, but a physical infirmity that calls for patience and mercy from those around you. We pray that your husband will be given a spirit of gentleness and understanding, to see your weariness and to comfort you rather than add to your stress.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we lift up this daughter to You in her marriage and in her pregnancy. You know her body and her heart, You see her desire to have peace in her home, and You know the stress she carries. We ask You to grant her restful sleep, to ease her breathing at night, and to give her relief from this snoring. Grant her comfort in body and peace in mind, and guard the life she carries within her. Give her husband compassion and wisdom to speak with kindness and to bear this burden with her in love. Help them both to remember that marriage is a covenant of patience and care, especially in seasons of weakness. We also ask for wisdom to seek good medical counsel if needed, for You have given skill to physicians for our good. May Your mercy rest upon this home and bring quietness and unity.

Continue to cast your cares upon the Lord, for He cares for you. Try not to let anxiety overwhelm you, but rest in His love. We encourage you to speak openly with your husband when you are both calm, and also to mention this increase in snoring to your doctor at your next prenatal visit, since they can check that all is well and suggest safe ways to help. We will keep praying for your health, for your child, and for peace between you and your husband.

It is clear how heavy this has become for you, and how much you want peace in your home. Snoring is not something you do deliberately, and it is understandable that your husband's tone feels hurtful when it suggests otherwise. Pregnancy in particular places extra strain on the body, with congestion, weight changes and pressure that can make snoring louder, and no amount of willpower can simply stop it. God sees both your effort and your weariness.

Scripture teaches that in marriage two people become one flesh. Two distinct persons are joined as one, a deep compound unity that reflects something of the very nature of God who is one. That oneness is meant to shape how you care for one another, especially in the small daily irritations. It calls for patience, kindness and bearing with one another in love, rather than suspicion or harsh words. Your husband is called to come alongside you in that unity with compassion, and you together are called to protect that unity even when sleep is broken.

The Bible also speaks honestly about the tension we experience between our inner desires and our physical bodies. There is a real struggle within us where the flesh does not always do what the spirit wishes. This helps us understand that many bodily weaknesses, like snoring or the changes that come with carrying a child, are part of our frailty and not a moral failure. Recognizing this can help both of you respond with grace instead of blame, remembering that the body is limited and in need of care.

It is good that you have tried simple remedies. Since snoring often worsens in pregnancy, it is wise to mention it to your doctor or midwife. They can check for causes like nasal congestion or sleep apnea and guide you safely, which is important for both you and the baby. It may also help to have a calm conversation with your husband when you are both rested, sharing how his tone affects you and inviting him to approach this as a team. Practical steps like keeping the air moist, avoiding sleeping flat on the back, and keeping a regular sleep pattern can sometimes help, but medical guidance is the best next step.

I will pray for you. Father, in the name of Jesus, I lift up this wife and mother to you. You know her body, you formed her, and you see her desire to love her husband well. Bring her peace and relieve this stress, grant her restful sleep and healthy breathing, and protect her and the child she carries. Soften any tension between husband and wife and help them to show each other the compassion and forgiveness you have shown us. Give wisdom to those caring for her medically and draw them both closer to you and to each other. Amen.
