We thank you for sharing your heart with us and for asking us to pray with you in Jesus name, which is so important for we know it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as it says in Acts 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. We rejoice that you have come in that precious name.
We hear your deep desire for marriage as God designed it, a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman, and we strongly affirm that godly desire. It is written in Genesis 2:18, Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him. And in Proverbs 18:22, Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of Yahweh. And in Genesis 2:24, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh. Your heart to love and to marry, to be hers and for her to be yours in that holy covenant, reflects the heart of God for marriage.
We also want to encourage you as you wait and as you pray for miracles. God delights to give good gifts and to work in practical ways. As Psalm 37:4 says, Also delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. And Matthew 6:33 reminds us, But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. We encourage you to continue to seek Him first, to grow as the godly husband He is calling you to be, one who will love his wife as Christ loved the church as described in Ephesians 5:25, with sacrificial, patient and faithful love. We encourage you to be active where a godly wife may be found, in fellowship with other Believers, in the church, in service, for we are told in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Dont be unequally yoked with unbelievers. Pray for a wife who is a Believer in Jesus Christ, and pursue courtship with marriage as the clear goal, keeping yourselves pure and honoring God with your bodies, for Hebrews 13:4 says, Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers. True love waits and honors God in purity before marriage.
We join our faith with yours for God to make a practical way for you to meet and to truly get to know one another, and for Him to give you both perseverance and genuine interest that does not quickly give up but is rooted in godly commitment.
We pray together now.
Father, in Jesus name we lift up our brother to Your throne of grace. You know his name, You know where he lives, and You know the deep longing of his heart for a wife. Lord, we ask that according to Your perfect will and timing, You would bring into his life the woman You have prepared for him to love and to marry. Lead them to cross paths in a practical, natural way that allows them to get to know each other with honesty, with peace, and with Your guidance. Give her a genuine interest in knowing him, and give him a genuine interest in knowing her, and let that interest be sustained by Your love and not grow weary. Grant them both discernment, patience, and perseverance, that they will not give up on pursuing Your will until they are joined together as husband and wife if that is Your plan. Lord, we ask for miracles in his life, not only in finding a wife but in shaping him more into the image of Christ as he waits. Prepare him to be a godly husband and prepare her to be a godly wife. Remove any loneliness, discouragement, or impatience and fill him with hope, for Jeremiah 29:11 says, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. Let Your will be done, let Your name be glorified in his story, and let this future marriage, if it is Your will, be a testimony of Your faithfulness and love. We trust You and we thank You for hearing our prayer. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We will continue to pray with you and for you. Keep trusting the Lord, keep praying, keep walking faithfully where He has planted you, and keep your eyes on Jesus. He is faithful and He hears the prayers of His children.
