We hear your heart’s desire, and we lift it before the Lord with love and sincerity. Your request for a godly wife is one that aligns with Scripture, for the Word tells us, *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord"* (Proverbs 18:22). We rejoice that you seek a marriage that honors God, where both you and your future bride are committed to His will and His ways.
Father in Heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Lord, You know the deepest longings of our brother’s heart, and You are the One who orchestrates every detail of our lives. We ask that You would prepare his heart and the heart of the woman You have chosen for him. Make her a woman of faith, virtue, and godly character, one who loves You above all else and seeks to walk in Your ways. Let her be a Proverbs 31 woman, whose worth is far above rubies, and whose heart is fully devoted to You.
Lord, we pray that You would open doors in practical ways for them to meet—through fellowship in the body of Christ, through godly friendships, or in places where Your people gather to serve and worship. Remove any obstacles that may stand in the way of their paths crossing, and let Your timing be perfect. We ask that You would give our brother patience and trust in Your plan, even when it feels slow or uncertain. Remind him that Your delays are not denials, and that You are working all things together for his good (Romans 8:28).
We also pray for wisdom and discernment for him as he seeks a wife. Let him not be swayed by outward appearances alone, but let him look for a woman who fears You and walks in righteousness (1 Peter 3:3-4). Guard his heart from impatience or compromise, and let him wait for the one You have prepared for him. Father, we ask that You would soften the heart of the woman You have chosen, that she would be drawn to him with sincerity and commitment, and that she would not grow weary in waiting for Your best.
Lord, we believe in Your power to do miracles, and we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. Let Your favor rest upon our brother as he seeks to honor You in this area of his life. May he find joy and contentment in You while he waits, knowing that You are his ultimate satisfaction. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him trust in Your promises.
We rebuke any spirit of loneliness, doubt, or fear that may try to take root in his heart. We declare that he is not alone, for You are with him always (Matthew 28:20). We also rebuke any temptation to seek fulfillment outside of Your will, whether through ungodly relationships or impure desires. Father, let him walk in purity and holiness, honoring You with his body and his heart (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
Above all, Lord, we pray that this desire for marriage would not overshadow his relationship with You. Let him seek You first, knowing that all other things will be added unto him (Matthew 6:33). May his life be a testimony of Your love and grace, drawing others to You.
We trust You, Lord, to bring this prayer to pass in Your perfect timing. May our brother find the wife You have prepared for him, and may their marriage be a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church—a union built on faith, love, and mutual submission to You.
